Hello Peeps!
I know I'm a bad girl, I haven't blogged like for ages...oh my! I will be very busy from now til the wedding so bear with me my friends. I will try to post as often as I can. When all my wedding projects are over I will post them for all to see. I am trying to place my orders for all the supplies I need for these projects & Sarah & I still have to go to 2 craft stores to look for DP & ribbon for the program folders, she's so busy at work & the stores are on summer hours so its tough. Thank God I only have 2 kids cause that means no more weddings for me after this one, I thought I would never see the day when my son would get married but he sure surprised me & his dad & so soon after Jessica's wedding. Maybe that was the push he needed hah? Sarah is a peach & I love her like she was my own daughter. Well enough of that, onto my post.
My good friend Jen (from Hawaii) sent me the traveling Ugly Card, now to explain about this card, here is the story. Diane Forest of
Little D Creations thought it would be fun to see how far this card would travel, so she named it the Ugly card (don't you just love that sentiment?) & I call it the Traveling Ugly Card. Tracy was the first person to receive it so it went from Diane in Canada to
Tracy in Canada to
Jen in Hawaii to me here in Massachusetts & I sent it off to merry ole England to Lyn of
Spyder's Corner, now we will see where it goes from there. I thought it would be a great idea to take a picture of the card in a tourist area close to where I live & make the trip worth while for this little card so I took it to the Newport Mansions to have its picture taken there. I hope that everyone who receives this card will take a picture of it somewhere that will be interesting and give us a little history of the area where the picture was taken. If you would like to follow the adventures of this traveling card go over to Diane's blog, she will post whenever she gets news of where the card is when she hears from the person who receives it. I love this idea & think it's so much fun!
Well that's it for today, talk to you again soon. Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!

The traveling Ugly Card visited one of the mansions in Newport Rhode Island recently. It took a picture at the Rosecliff Mansion. This mansion is one of Newport's grandest, where the rich held lots of parties & they called these mansions in Newport their summer cottages. Cole Porter was a frequent house guest, composing and playing the piano in an upstairs sitting room. Its ocean views and expansive lawns create a dreamlike atmosphere. Rosecliff was built in 1902. We couldn't take pictures of the inside, I don't know why but their rules.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the grounds in back of the mansion. You can see some other mansions in the background on the left.
