Gay Wedding Card

Good mornin' Peeps!

I hope all of you who were in our beloved city of Boston are safe.  I pray for all the victims & their families, this was a senseless attack.  Please keep these people in your thoughts & prayers today.

This card was a challenge for me but so happy with how it turned out.  I was asked to make a wedding card for a lesbian couple & this is what I came up with...what do you think?  The one woman was dressing in a black suit, shirt & tie (but I wanted to lightened it up a bit, too much black didn't look good), I was told she had a mohawk but I could not draw one on this face I had that I was told resembled her, so I went with short hair that was on this Hanna stamp (no longer in business).  The body is also a Hanna stamp but it was a business man in a suit that I thought would be great & just cut out both pieces & attached the head to the body.  Then I had two brides that resembled the the other woman who was dressing in a wedding gown & the woman I was doing this for liked this Saturated Canary bride that most resembled the brides face.  She loved the card & I can't wait to find out how the happy couple liked their wedding card.

Wedding Couple

Good morning everyone!

Well here is the wedding card that my friend asked me to make for her son's upcoming wedding next month. She wanted the Whiff of Joy wedding couple in the horse drawn carriage. I added flower soft to the flowers & it's beautiful in person.

Purple Wedding Party Bella's

Good mornin' Peeps!

Hope you all had a great weekend. We spent Sunday afternoon at the pool with Marc & Sarah & some of her family, Sarah looks fabulous as always & is beaming with excitement, she has had a fantastic pregnancy & is now almost ready to pop that baby out.

Anyway, on to my cards for today. A friend asked me to make a bridal Bella wedding party card for her future daughter-in-law's bridal shower with purple dresses & I was happy to do it. I made 3 cards for her to choose from & she picked the first one. The other two I will keep for my stash. She also wanted me to make her son's wedding card & she requested the "Whiff of Joy" Bride & Groom in the horse drawn carriage from their wedding collection. I will post that tomorrow.

Here are 2 great pictures of Marc & Sarah...in these pictures she has 12 days to go before baby arrives. Now we are down to the final 3 days, she delivers Wednesday sometime between 3:30 - 4 PM but we don't get to see our granddaughter for 3 hours later so that will be sometime between 7 - 8:30 PM, oh my! Wednesday is going to be a very, very, very loooooong day for us grandparents! I hope I make it through the day...she will be worth the wait once we see her.

Elegant Bridal Shower Card

Hi peeps!

Thank you all for your emails asking if we were all right & if we survived Irene...yes we did, but we have NO power & won't have it back for a few days or maybe even longer. Time will tell, we are at my son's house in Rhode Island, they have power here. I will be spending a day or two here & hope that our power will return by Wednesday...we can only hope! Dan might be going home tonight if he has to work tomorrow but I will be staying here. Irene turned into a tropical storm for us but the wind gusts were really bad, no trees down on our property, just lots of leaves & tree branches to clean up when we get home. Some areas did not fare well & had a lot of damage, so we were very fortunate.

Today's card is the last of the bridal shower cards & this one is my favorite! I love how it turned out. This is the Hanna bridal stamp set which is no longer available. She is such a beautiful & elegant bride, she's my favorite bridal stamp & I love using the full bride image on the inside of these cards. I changed it up a bit by using crystals on one card & pearls on the other one, I also changed the hair color on each bride. Hope you enjoy these.

Bridal Party Bella's

Hi peeps!

Today's card is with an image from Stamping Bella, Bridal Party Bella is so cute & you can color it to match the bride's colors of her bridal party gowns. I did one card with pink gowns & one in light green gowns. I also added some dazzling diamonds to give the bride's gown some added sparkle...I love it & it looks awesome in person.

Well Irene is expected to hit Massachusetts tomorrow & we are as ready as we can be...we are hoping it will weaken by the time it gets to us but it all depends on the course she takes, it's possible she could get stronger but time will tell. Right now, North Carolina is getting pelted. I hope & pray people will take heed & listen to our officials & evacuate if they ask you to, your life is worth more than your homes.

Wedding Gown Bridal Shower Cards

Happy hump day peeps!

Today I have batch #2 of bridal shower cards. I did one in pink & 1 in blue. I did the double embossing on this card design, used the dots embossing folder & an oval nestie die to get the look, (I couldn't remember how to do it so after 2 tries & failing...I decided I need to find that tutorial again) as they say 3rd times a charm & it all worked out in the end. ;0)

Well as you all might have heard by now we had an earthquake here on the east coast but as usual I didn't feel it. My friend Sandi & I (hi Sandi, I had a great time with my BFF) were in route from TGIFriday's after a great lunch, heading back to my house when it hit...so we were on the move & didn't feel a thing. As soon as I walked in the house, Dan called to ask if we felt it. He didn't feel it either, he said the girls in the upstairs offices felt it but no one downstairs did. I guess it was pretty scary for some people, I've never experienced it, I seem to miss out on all the excitement...story of my life. The joke going around here is that the founding fathers decided to ALL roll over in their graves at the same time to let Washington know that they are making a mess of this country & they are NOT amused, so they wanted to wake all the politicians up & knock some sense into them. Well all kidding aside, maybe it was a good thing that I didn't feel it 'cause I might have freaked out, I don't know what I would have done.

Bridal Shower Cards

Good morning peeps!

Just wanted to pop in to show you the first of the bridal shower cards for this week. This is a gate fold card that I decided to make in Pink & Purple. The bride's dress & vail have some sparkle to it but I couldn't capture it on camera. I hope you like these.

I have a friend coming over today that I haven't seen for awhile, we're going to catch up on things & go out for lunch. Just a hang out kind of day. Got to go get ready. Hope you all enjoy your day...looks like it's going to be a beautiful one here in New England!

Whiff of Joy Wedding Cards

Hello peeps!

Here is the last of the wedding cards before moving on to bridal shower cards this coming week. Hope you like them.


I just can't get enough of this Whiff of Joy wedding carriage stamp...I love it! It's my go to stamp for wedding cards. I added some flower soft to the carriage flowers & it looks awesome. Yep, I still have paper & ribbon leftover from my son's wedding (almost 2 years now..wow) & I'm trying to use it all up, so until I do these cards will look alike for awhile. I try to change it up a bit. Now each card has a different label die, that's the only difference, oh yeah & the hair on each couple is different too.

4 Layer Wedding Cake

Good mornin' peeps!

I bet your all glad it's Saturday. Time to relax & spend time with your family. Wow, I can't believe it's almost the end of August...where did the summer go?

I just started stamping & coloring images for my masculine birthday cards so stay tuned for that, I can't wait for you to see them. I'm still trying to come up with card ideas for these so that they will be easy to mail since I'll be selling them, so that's got to fit into my design. I have 2 wedding cards for you today & then one more set of wedding cards before moving on to Bridal shower cards (and those came out so pretty), I can't wait for you to see these & the last wedding card...you won't be disappointed, I promise.

This cake was fun to make & it took me awhile to figure out the dimensions but it finally came together & I'm happy with the final results.
This is a 5" x 6 1/2" card, bigger than a standard one. I bought a package of 50 white cards & envelopes from Michael's awhile back so that I could make bigger cards every so often & I used a coupon so it only cost me $5. I think they still sell these, not sure because it's been at least a year in half since I bought them. I think the regular price is $9.99.
