Gay Wedding Card

Good mornin' Peeps!

I hope all of you who were in our beloved city of Boston are safe.  I pray for all the victims & their families, this was a senseless attack.  Please keep these people in your thoughts & prayers today.

This card was a challenge for me but so happy with how it turned out.  I was asked to make a wedding card for a lesbian couple & this is what I came up with...what do you think?  The one woman was dressing in a black suit, shirt & tie (but I wanted to lightened it up a bit, too much black didn't look good), I was told she had a mohawk but I could not draw one on this face I had that I was told resembled her, so I went with short hair that was on this Hanna stamp (no longer in business).  The body is also a Hanna stamp but it was a business man in a suit that I thought would be great & just cut out both pieces & attached the head to the body.  Then I had two brides that resembled the the other woman who was dressing in a wedding gown & the woman I was doing this for liked this Saturated Canary bride that most resembled the brides face.  She loved the card & I can't wait to find out how the happy couple liked their wedding card.

Well that's all for now, have a great day & thanks for stopping by & spending a little part of your day with me!

Hello Peeps!

Well graduations are about over now but I wanted to show you a few more that I made, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! The boy & girl graduates are from Hanna Stamps & are no longer available (they closed up shop, so sorry to hear that..I loved their stamps), paper I found in my stash (didn't even know I had that), sentiments are from SU.

Jessica comes home from her NKOTB cruise tonight & I can't wait to get together with her to hear all about her trip...I'm sure she had a blast!

Well that's it for today, short & sweet! Have a great day everyone, thanks for stopping by & visiting me!

Graduation Hat Box & Card

Good mornin' peeps!

Well it's that time of year...Graduations are a comin'! I made this card & Grad hat box for Sarah (my daughter-in-law), her niece is graduating from high school next month & I wanted to make her something for the occasion that I thought she would like. What does every grad want for graduation? You guessed it...money and what better way to present it than something unique. I came across this box template that Adela was selling & knew I just had to have it, it was soooo stinkin' cute! I went to work on it the minute I finished downloading the template & instructions. Sarah loved it & can't wait to give it to her niece, I hope she likes it as much as I do.

Well have a great day & thanks for stopping by, I love your company. Leave a comment & let me know what you think.

My inspiration for this card came from Frenchie, she made an adorable grad owl topper & I used her tutorial to make a card instead. I just cut the top note die cut in half, made my owl & placed it on the front of my card...real easy. Thanks Frenchie

I bought the grad hat template design from Adela, it was very easy to create & so much fun, I used her school colors for this box.

inside...roll up money & tie a ribbon around it & you will make any grad very happy, don't ya think? I used white paper here, sad to say the day I took these pictures I didn't even have a dollar bill on hand to roll up, hahaha!!!

Happy stampin' peeps!

Elegant Bridal Shower Card

Hi peeps!

Thank you all for your emails asking if we were all right & if we survived Irene...yes we did, but we have NO power & won't have it back for a few days or maybe even longer. Time will tell, we are at my son's house in Rhode Island, they have power here. I will be spending a day or two here & hope that our power will return by Wednesday...we can only hope! Dan might be going home tonight if he has to work tomorrow but I will be staying here. Irene turned into a tropical storm for us but the wind gusts were really bad, no trees down on our property, just lots of leaves & tree branches to clean up when we get home. Some areas did not fare well & had a lot of damage, so we were very fortunate.

Today's card is the last of the bridal shower cards & this one is my favorite! I love how it turned out. This is the Hanna bridal stamp set which is no longer available. She is such a beautiful & elegant bride, she's my favorite bridal stamp & I love using the full bride image on the inside of these cards. I changed it up a bit by using crystals on one card & pearls on the other one, I also changed the hair color on each bride. Hope you enjoy these.

Coming up next will be masculine cards, if you need some inspiration stop by, you won't be sorry...I promise!

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by! I luv you guys!

Happy First Anniversary!

Hello peeps!

Wow, I can't believe it has been a year already! Time sure does fly by fast doesn't it? HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Jessica & Steve!!! Hope you had a great time in Maine!

Here is the card I sent to them for their anniversary! I messed up a little on the inside sentiment, it got smudged when I adhered the heart to the card darn it! You can see it in the picture, that's what I get for printing out the sentiment instead of stamping it but I didn't have a good stamp for anniversary. I need to find some good sentiments for weddings & anniversaries, I think I need some for baby cards too.

I have my good friend Sandi coming over Tuesday & we're going to play & maybe make a card or two. Sandi is fairly new to stamping & she wants to learn more about the embossing folders & nesties. So I'll see what she wants to learn first & then take it from there. I can't wait to see her, she moved away & now lives a little more than 2 hours away so it's hard getting together.

I'll be sharing some of my organizing tips this week that I've been working on lately or should I say whenever I get a chance to work on them. I think you'll like these & may want to give a few of them a try. I don't know when hubby is going to get around to putting up my rails but whenever he does I'll be sure to take some pictures of that when I get punches on them. I have to go back to Ikea & get the little plastic cups to put on them too, I think I'm going to put all my pencils in them (Prisma's, Koh-i-noor & cheapo pencils). I need to get things off of my tables & give me more room to create!

Thanks for spending a little part of your day with me today, I appreciate it & I love reading all of your comments! Have a great day...now go make a card! Hehehe!!!

Bridal Shower Card

Good morning!

I cased this card from Adela when Bridal Hanna first came out & knew that this was the card I wanted to make for Sarah & I love how it turned out! This set came out last year just days before Jessica's wedding but it didn't get to me until just after the wedding so I had to put it away for another time. I was so happy that I was able to use it for Sarah's Shower, I love this stamp set. I had a vision of a shower card with this set but I didn't make the cards for the shower so I thought that maybe it would work for my card (it's just a little different) & it did, the inside of the card was part of my vision...I love it!

Well it's another gloomy day here, more rain. I wish we could see the sun for more than a few hours in a week. Like I said before...WHERE is SUMMER??? Send a little sunshine my way, this is getting depressing!

Well I have a few things I need to get done before I go out today, so I hope you all have a fantastic day! Thanks for stopping by today.

Cupcake Anyone?

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend, it was a gorgeous one here & the weather was nice & warm...Spring is here to stay I think!!!

I had to make a birthday card for a friend & it had to be masculine so I decided to use my Baking Riley for this one since I haven't used it yet. I sure do hope he likes it.

I broke down today & finally ordered some Anime stamps & I can't wait to use them...those eyes are so beautiful & really get to me, I love those images! Also I'm told that my order from High Hopes is FINALLY on their way to me as we speak...I sure hope so 'cause I've waited a long time for these stamps (since Feb. 26 to be exact). I can't believe its taking so long. I've never waited almost 2 months for stamps before, she told me the first shipment must have gotten lost, then told me that she would ship them out right away again using a different shipping method that would be faster & that was almost 3 weeks ago, so I emailed her again & was told that it was on its way to me so the saga continues. I'll let you know when I get them. You might be able to hear me clear across the country & maybe into Canada (that's where the company is) when they do arrive! Hehehe!!!

Have a great day & thanks so much for spending a little time with me today!

GI Jon

Hi Peeps!

Sorry I'm so late with my post but I went shopping to pick out my dress for the wedding today & I'm glad to say that I have picked out a dress with the help of my daughter & friend Barbara! Yippee!!! I'm so glad that it's over, I had Jessica come with me today to pick between 2 dresses & then to pick the color. I got the Pewter/Silver, it's pewter (Dark grey shimmery chiffon)with silver shimmer. If you want to see the dress click here for the link & let me know what you think!

Now onto my card. Here is another soldier card that I made for Marc to send to Sarah's nephew. I made this one before I saw the card that Jodi made & liked her image better but this little Riley stamp is so darn cute too! Well this is a short post today I have lots to do. Have a great day everyone & take some time to stamp today! See you tomorrow.

Hanna Image Folder

Hello everyone!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Are you wearing green today, I am? Here is something I made for my friend Gina Wrona's birthday. She loves Hanna so I thought I would make her a folder & put Hanna & Bella images in it so she could make her own cards. I love this folder & use it often for gifts. I usually put images in it or I put four cards on one side & envelopes on the other side, makes for a great gift! I added some sparkle with DD of course, I luv that stuff! She received it yesterday & loved it!

Well Jessica just walked in to do Dan's hair so I'm cutting this short since I don't get to see her much anymore. Take care & have a great day!

Diorama Card...Ski Bunny Hanna

Hi everyone!!!

Well as promised I was able to take pictures this morning & had time to post so here is my project. I luv it & I luv how it all turned out!!! Nothing like tooting your own horn hah? I had so much fun making this card & it was really easy! Now I got the written tutorial (click here) from Diana Gibbs about a week ago & put that aside on my craft table to do when I had time. Dawn ended up making a video tutorial yesterday on how to put one together & I needed a birthday card for Saturday so I had this idea in my head after viewing her video & it all came together! I made mine a little larger so that it would fit into a business size envelope, I didn't have any open ended envelopes (have to get some) & I also used nesties on mine instead of the circle punch. I luv, luv, luv it!!! It will be off to the post office later to mail this beauty & I know she's going to luv it, I'm sure that I'll be getting a phone call after she opens it!

Well Hubby & I along with Marc & Sarah will be going to MGM Grand in Connecticut tonight to see Frank Caliendo the comedian. Should be lots of fun!!!! Take care & have a great weekend! Be back on Monday!

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I tried 3 times to get one good clear picture & for some reason just couldn't get one.

Hi everyone!

Take me away from here & let me go someplace warm & sunny PLEASE!!! I'm sure a lot of the country feels like that right now, we are all in a deep freeze! Be oh so thankful if you live somewhere warm.

Under my Umbrella...ella!

Hello everyone!

Hope your all having a wonderful day today! What a great fun day Jessica & I had yesterday! I'm happy to say that I finally found the DP & envelopes that I had been searching for & that is a BIG relief to me! Those 2 items were driving me bonkers, I was searching for some paper to go with Pink Passion that I liked & the envelopes in the size I needed, it seems the size I was searching for is not a standard size, all the envelopes I could find were either too big or too small, I went by the size that came in a package of card bases & envelopes that I bought at Michael's soooo...I just bought 2 packages of 50 at 30% off just so that I could have the envelopes, the card bases I will use for something else eventually! I had to do it that way cause I was sick of looking. We also found some two tone ribbon for the charity cards that we are making for the wedding. I found my shoes but...when we went to the bridal salon to pick up Jessica's veil I found another pair of shoes that we liked better. Now I don't want to give up the pair that I just bought & I know hubby will not like it if I bought another pair of shoes that I might or might not wear with this dress & since I had already spent my money on the other pair of shoes & other things & these shoes have to be ordered, so I passed on ordering them for NOW!!! Hee! Hee! I will more than likely return on another day when I come up with the money (their not cheap!) & order them then. What can I say, I'm me!
We had some lunch & had a great day together! We got a lot of errands done & finally got home around 5:30 so it was a long day. Now I just have to wait for my SU order & then I'm in business. I forget a few little things that I need but it's no big deal I can get them next week.

Sorry, I think I rambled too much there, may have repeated myself a few times, oh well! On to my card. Like the catchy title? I see this stamp set & right away I think of this song & can't get it out of my mind! This is one of the cards I made the other day, I like how this turned out except I think I should have done something else with the sentiment, not too sure about that. I love this ribbon that I picked up at Michael's, I have a few different colors of these plaid ribbon spools for a dollar. The plaid colors are so beautiful in real life. Well thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hugs...Rita

I Love Hanna!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I'm sending you all a day full of LOVE! The Sun is out today & I thinks it's out for the whole day....so it's a great day here ladies! Sunshine & love are in the air, can you feel it? That's all I need, wellllllll...more stamps would really help, you can never have enough stamps, their like shoes, we like to buy shoes & stamps & never have enough, right ladies?

Onto my Hanna card, I just LOVE Hanna & can't get enough of her, she's so beautiful, she reminds me of my daughter! We love to shop & this stamp reminds me of us when we go shopping. This is a birthday card I made for Jessica's best friend & Maid of Honor Sarah, I had so much fun making this card. I did a lot of paper piecing on this card & used the Quickie glue pen, oh let me tell you this glue pen is FANTASTIC!!! It's my new toy! I used to use it just to add some glitter to some of my cards & could not master it for anything else, but the other day I figured I would give it one more shot on the paper piecing, well...this time I guess I mastered it & everything came out right where I wanted it & I got it right!!! The first time I tried to paper piece Hanna I made a mess & got the glue in her hair & it wouldn't color right 'cause of the glue smeared on the cs, so this time it worked out beautifully...yipeeeeee!!! Can you tell I'm excited? Just a little! Hehehe!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by & sharing your day with me, I really appreciate all of you & hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Hugs & Kisses
Rita

Hanna Christmas Cards

Good morning everyone!

It's 1:15 am & I decided not to go to bed because I have to get up at 2 am anyway to shower & get ready to go to New York to The View again. This will be our last time going...I think we have seen it enough times now. Whenever I have to get up that early, I have a hard time sleeping so why bother, I can sleep when I get back. We will be leaving at 4 am, most of you will be fast asleep. I hope the roads will be fine for traveling, we will just take our time. We had lots of snow last night & this morning before it turned over to rain so now its icing up. My neighbor plowed our driveway this morning (God Bless him), we are so lucky to have such great neighbors here, we all do for one another. I'll have to see if I can whip something up for him as a thank you we really appreciate your kindness. Hmmmm, will have to think of something great, any ideas ladies?

Here are 3 cards that I made today. I was on a Hanna kick, I think the snow inspires me to create cards, or maybe it's because its crunch time & I really need to get these cards out in the mail ASAP. Whatever it is I'm getting there. I had fun today making these cards. Enjoy & thanks for stopping by. I will talk to you when I get back tomorrow night or if I'm too tired it will be on Wednesday. Take care ladies.

Hugs...Rita
