Popcorn Pull - Up Card Tutorial

As promised to Malieta, I am doing my very first tutorial! Malieta wanted me to do a tutorial on the snowman popcorn pull-up card, so here it is, hope you can understand it. Let me know what you think of this tutorial, please? Thanks for stopping by my blog. Take care.

POPCORN PULL-UP CARD TUTORIAL

SUPPLY LIST
Scor-pal
Paper cutter
Rectangle hand held punch (I used 1/8" round hand punch, I don't have a rectangle)
Popcorn bag
Cardstock
Heavy duty adhesive tape
20" long ribbon
Ink to stamp images
Markers if you want to color in image
Stamps of your choice for cardstock & main image on your square



Cut cardstock for card, the color that is going to wrap around the popcorn bag (keep in plastic bag) to measure 6 3/4" x 10". I don't know if popcorn bags are standard, but this is what we used for our popcorn bags.


Cut cardstock for background of image to measure 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" (FOR THE SNOWMAN IMAGE CUT TO MEASURE 3 1/4" x 3 3/4")
Cut Whisper White cardstock for stamped image to measure 3 1/4" x 3" (FOR SNOWMAN IMAGE CUT TO MEASURE 3" x 3 1/2").


Score the long piece of cardstock at 1" and at 5 1/2".


Stamp cardstock as desired.


Adhere the stamped (WW cs) image to the background square, then adhere to the main stamped scored cardstock. Put adhesive strip on the 1" side of scored cardstock.


Fold & adhere together. Now it looks like a sleeve.


Punch holes (using the rectangle hand held punch) at top for ribbon - go through both layers of cardstock so that you have 2 holes to thread your ribbon, being careful NOT to make holes too close to the edge of the sleeve, or it will rip. Thread ribbon ends through each hole & make sure ribbon ends are even at the top.


Now place popcorn bag in between the ribbon & slide down into the card. The ribbon should slide down with the bag to the bottom end of sleeve (card).


Holding onto the ribbon ends tie a knot, but make sure to leave a little loop (a little room) so you can pull ribbon up with popcorn bag.


Now trim ribbon ends as long or as short as you like.


Nice little gift! I also just thought about the fact that you could adjust the measurements & put in a bag of M&M's
(measure around the bag of M&M's).
