Baby Gift & Card Idea

Good morning Peeps!

I’m back with another project & card that I created for a friend. She's expecting a baby at the end of the month (it's a boy) & I wanted to make her something that I thought she would love & also give her a baby outfit to go along with this gift. She loved it!!! Score one for me, hahaha!!!

This cute idea was easy & so much fun to create. I love making things for people who appreciate hand made gifts...don't you?

Altered this box that I saved from one of my favorite hotels in Vegas, it came with a sewing kit, shower cap, etc., they left one in the room everyday & everyday I would stash it in my suitcase, so I ended up with 3 boxes that I use for this cute baby gift idea. Wouldn't you know it...they no longer put these out. I guess they have to change it up so guests don't get bored, hahaha!!!

The Wedding Invitation

Good mornin’ Peeps!

This is a scheduled post that I wrote & set up before I left home, so the wedding was yesterday & now I can share pictures of the invitations & thank you cards I made for Kim & Jack. Then I will be sharing all the other sample invitations that got rejected. I made quite a few samples for them to pick from & told them that if they like something on one card & something from another then we could incorporate those elements into their invitations & make it work & that’s exactly what they did & they came out beautiful if I do say so myself!!! I totally enjoyed making these for them.

I got my inspiration for this card design from my good friend Corinne (thanks so much Corinne for always inspiring me) with this card & this card .

Altered Mini Composition Books

Good morning peeps!

Well I hope you all had a fabulous week, I sure did. I decided I wanted a mini notebook to keep in my purse to jot things down that I will be experiencing on my vacation & I don't want to forget one minute of this awesome vacation we have planned in Hawaii. My intention is to make one of those smash books when I get back home (I haven't tried that yet) & this journal will help me remember everything. I also want to make a digital book with some of the pictures I'll be taking. I'll be taking lots of pictures & videos. I'll post some for you to see everyday if I have a good Internet connection, I will post on my Facebook page so look for it there. Not sure how often I will have a chance to post on my blog but I will try to schedule posts in advance (before I leave) with the wedding invitations after the day of the wedding.

My vacation journal



We all have tons of passwords, user names, log ins, etc. that you need a way to keep them all organized, this is what I did last week to help me do just that & so far it's working out just great for me. Give it a try...I swear it will make your life less stressful. Have fun.

I used the Gina K Design stamp set called "Organize it", I love this set...there are so many things you can do with this set.


inside...I made the cover wider to accommodate the tabs so I could keep everything organized.

Purple Wedding Party Bella's

Good mornin' Peeps!

Hope you all had a great weekend. We spent Sunday afternoon at the pool with Marc & Sarah & some of her family, Sarah looks fabulous as always & is beaming with excitement, she has had a fantastic pregnancy & is now almost ready to pop that baby out.

Anyway, on to my cards for today. A friend asked me to make a bridal Bella wedding party card for her future daughter-in-law's bridal shower with purple dresses & I was happy to do it. I made 3 cards for her to choose from & she picked the first one. The other two I will keep for my stash. She also wanted me to make her son's wedding card & she requested the "Whiff of Joy" Bride & Groom in the horse drawn carriage from their wedding collection. I will post that tomorrow.

Here are 2 great pictures of Marc & Sarah...in these pictures she has 12 days to go before baby arrives. Now we are down to the final 3 days, she delivers Wednesday sometime between 3:30 - 4 PM but we don't get to see our granddaughter for 3 hours later so that will be sometime between 7 - 8:30 PM, oh my! Wednesday is going to be a very, very, very loooooong day for us grandparents! I hope I make it through the day...she will be worth the wait once we see her.

Baby Shower Projects - Part 4

It's going to be another hot one today. We are going to Marc & Sarah's to spend the afternoon at the pool & keep cool!

A box I altered for these cute little closet hangers. Put them away in the box till the next baby arrives, if it's a boy I'll make blue ones next time. I love it...it's so stinkin' cute!!!



These are for the closet to keep those adorable clothes organized by size.



Remember the TY craze from years ago....well I was a crazed collecter, yep that was me & I'm proud of it! Well, I bought a few of these storks when the craze was over & they were selling them really cheap, I wanted them for future baby showers. I love how they look on packages...you all know how I love to dress up my gifts. The closet hangers are inside along with lots of other goodies.

Father's Day...Part 1

Well it won't be long now...August 15th is coming up fast & before you know it we will have a little princess to welcome into our family & we are all so excited!!! Stamps: Gina K Designs & All that Scraps (AmyR Sentiments)


Look at what was in my yard the the other day! A wild turkey...all by his lonesome. I was walking by the window & saw something from the corner of my eye that caught my attention & it was this guy just standing still like a little statue, I watched him or her for awhile & he did not move for at least 5 minutes, it was amazing. Usually they travel in packs of 6 or more, so it was very unusual to see just one. I guess he was dilly dallying around & taking his time so the others must have moved on without him. He finally moved on & walked into the woods so I got my camera out before he disappeared & snapped a few shots through my living room window (standing still) & I got a picture of him while he was walking away (kitchen window).
