Charity Cards for the Wedding

Hi everyone!

Well I'm back from Atlantic City and although we didn't win a lot of money we didn't lose a lot either! We only ended up losing about $40. for 4 nights & 5 days, so we consider ourselves winners in the long run! It was like having a free vacation & we feel well rested! Now the fun begins!

I won't be posting anything until after the wedding, I still have so much to do for the rehearsal dinner, the wedding & still have to finish Jessica's scrapbook & make cards for her Bridal party. By the way does anyone have the Musicbella, the one with Bella holding the musical notes? I was hoping that if someone had it they could send me 2 images (an extra one in case I mess up) I wanted to use that one for a card for Jessica's friend Katie who will be singing at the wedding when Jessica walks down the isle. If not I'll have to think of something else, I did buy the music cuttlebug folder to go with maybe a flower or something...any ideas? I will try & visit some blogs whenever I take a break from all this craziness! Jessica & I have our trial for make-up & hair tomorrow, so that should be fun, Thursday we will be out all day with appointments with the Country Club, florist, Jessica's final fitting & last minute shopping & hopefully we can find time to go out to eat too! Wow only 17 days to go, I hope I can get it all done on time...I need that massage badly!!!

Anyway here are the Charity heart cards that I made for the wedding. Jessica & Steve are making a donation instead of favors. Heart disease runs in my family, my brother had a heart transplant 10 years ago & lived for 7 more years, he died due to complications unrelated to his heart, he was 65. My twin sisters had heart attacks & died 2 years apart, Mary was 59 & Alice was 61. I have high blood pressure which is controlled by medication & I am the youngest of 7 children. The two oldest sisters & the other sister (she was the youngest till I came along 8 years after her & never lets me forget that) I think they lucked out & got my mothers genes, mom lived to be 95 & died in 2006. So this is the reason why my daughter wanted to donate to The American Heart Association.

Well have a great day everyone & I will be back after the wedding! Thanks for stopping by today! Somebody pinch me...I can't believe it's almost here!!!

Bella Went Shopping!

Good morning everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I finally started to work on Jessica's scrapbook that I plan on giving her the morning of her wedding day! I got a few pages done yesterday & hope to do a few more today. You won't be hearing from me all week, Dan & I are taking a little mini vacation & going down to Atlantic City for a few days. I will be back visiting your blogs on Sunday & most likely post here on Monday. I know that my Google reader will pile up & I will have to deal with that when I return. I am bringing a few things to do during our down time in the hotel, I have lots of stamped images I need to cut out for the rehearsal dinner which will be in the Hawaiian theme. I'm also bringing my portable DVD player so that I can watch "Sex in the City" DVDs on the way there while hubby is driving. Jessica brought over her DVD collection & wants me to watch every episode before going to the movie. I can't wait to see the movie. I've watched a few of the shows but never really got into it but Jessica is a HUGE fan & got the DVD collection for Christmas or her birthday, (I don't remember which) from Steve, he's such a sweetheart!

Okay! On to my card. I made this card for Sarah's birthday my son's girlfriend, her birthday is tomorrow & she should get the card today (I hope) but I just found out that she is in Vermont for a few days on business...bummer! Happy birthday Sarah!!! I love this Bella, she's called "Imeldabella"! Isn't she adorable? Well I just had to have this Bella because we ladies LOVE our shoes and Sarah also loves shoes so she fits right in with Jessica & I! By the way I had someone ask me if I ever went back to get those shoes that I saw at the bridal salon that I just had to have for my dress after I had already bought a pair to go with my gown. You will remember that I didn't want to return the other pair, I still wanted to keep that pair too. Well YES of course I went back to buy the pair I REALLY wanted for my gown...I'm a bad girl, what can I say! So yes I have both pairs, Hehehe!!!

Well that's all for today, I will be back on Sunday, so have a great week everyone! Thanks for stopping by today!

You Rock my Socks Award

Malieta awarded me with this fantastic award! You Rock my Socks Award! Thank you so much my friend, I'm honored. So sorry it took me so long to post, but I know you understand how busy I've been lately. It's been about a month since you gave this to me, time sure has been flying by for me way too fast! Four weeks from today & my baby will be getting married! You all need to go visit Malieta's blog because you will be in awe, her cards have that WOW factor!!! They will take your breath away I promise! So run on over & take a peek. Thanks again Malieta!

Now I think you all deserve this award because there are so many blogs that I visit that really knock my socks off so feel free to copy this award & put it on your blog!

Well my daughter Jessica's veil FINALLY MATCHED her wedding gown...yippee!!! This color light ivory is the new color that is coming out & is not available for 12 weeks, but we had one FANTASTIC sales lady that helped us months ago with dresses & went back to buy that veil that Jessica just had to have & did not match her dress with the 2 colors (Ivory & then the White)that they had to offer. Patti (our saleslady) looked on the computer for a veil somewhere & she found the only one in the entire country in Burbank California & they were willing to part with it & send it to us! Wow, Jessica is one lucky girl! So that is finally over & we're all happy!

Well that's it for today everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by today & have a wonderful weekend!

One Last Father's Day Card

Hello ladies!

Well the heat wave is gone finally, yippee!!! It's a nice cool 74 degrees right now, just the right temperature, I love it like this. So I have some errands to run with my daughter today & we have the veil all pressed too! She goes for her fitting this afternoon so pray that THIS veil will MATCH! I think it will because its in between the Ivory & the White...I will be holding my breath. I was working on something for my daughter yesterday & getting very frustrated because the site kept freezing up on me & even though I was saving my changes it was not saving it & I would lose it, after about the 5th or 6th try I wanted to rip my hair out it was very frustrating!!! Finally after about 8 hours I had all three of these things set up & saved!!! We just have a little more work to do in the coming week or two, the final step & then we can order them so that they will arrive on time for the wedding. Will tell you about it after the wedding.

Jessica called the other day & asked if I could make Steve a Father's Day card for him to give to his step dad & of course I said yes, he wanted the Beerafella stamp. I went to work & this is the finished card, nice & easy! Take care & enjoy your day. Thanks for looking!

Another Lifeguard Cat Card

Hi all,

I hope your all staying cool! It's really hot here on the east coast, mid to high nineties since Saturday with high humidity, its sweltering here, ugh!!! I hope the temperature breaks soon, I can't take this heat! Hubby & I have been going out everyday to escape the heat in our house. I finally managed to get 2 air conditioners in two of the rooms just before the heat arrived, my bedroom & my craft room. I didn't get to do the windows in the den where my computer is but I do have the ceiling fan which helps a little. After the heat wave I will be cleaning the den so that I can put the ac in that room next. No cleaning going on here with this heat it will have to wait for cooler weather.

Anyway on to my card. I made this card for my cousin's birthday, I know he will appreciate this one! I was hoping to have my funny sentiments in on time to use it for this card but they didn't arrive on time, so it just says relax, happy birthday! There's always next year, right? I wanted to let you know this card was colored with the pencils that Gina K. is selling & they are fantastic!!! Their as smooth as butter to work with & they are really cheap, I loved coloring with them & the colors are so vibrant! You use these with OMS also. I heard some people were using baby oil instead of the OMS with good results, I'll have to buy some baby oil to try it out. OK everyone stay cool & thanks for dropping by today!

Wedding Card

Good morning,

Quick post today. I made this card last night for Deb's white on white BLOG APPRECIATION CHALLENGE & what fun it was to figure out what I was going to do. I had something in mind at first but it wasn't working out. Don't you just hate that when it happens? So back to the drawing board & I remembered seeing some embossed hearts on a card awhile back (sorry I don't remember where) so I went to work & this is the end result! I love the way it turned out & will add a sentiment inside later, the wedding cake brad I think I got that at Target or Michael's I can't remember because it was so long ago. I had Jessica's wedding in mind when I bought these. I had so much fun making this Deb, thanks for this cool challenge. I will do more challenges once the wedding is over, but this gave me a chance to experiment with wedding cards & decide on what I might make for Jessica & Steve. When I took the stitches off her baby bonnet I was left with the ribbon & 2 tiny flower appliques that I want to incorporate into her wedding card, so this gave me a heads up.

Thanks for visiting & have a great weekend everyone!

Last Father's Day Card

Hi everyone,

Well it looks like we will be putting our AC in our bedroom window tomorrow, it is supposed to be in the low 90's here for a few days! I know what crazy weather we have here in New England, today it's like in the low 60's & tomorrow heat wave, ugh!!! The other AC's that we put in the Den & my craft room will have to wait til I clean the windows & put up the curtains, so you know I will be working on the upstairs bathroom today so that I can get to those rooms ASAP! Hehehe!!! I guess that's one way to get me to move my butt! I need AC when it gets that hot!

Anyway I needed to post this so that I can get to work on cleaning today! I finally used some stamps that I purchased a long time ago specifically for Father's Day. I have so many stamps that I have purchased awhile ago & just have not had the time to play with yet due to the shower & wedding taking up all of my time. So after the wedding I will be stamping up a storm so I can play with them all, I can't wait! So here is the last card for Father's day. I had this card in mind for my son's girlfriend Sarah to give to her Dad, he plays golf & my son goes with him sometimes (this stamp will be used sometime in the future to make a card for him whenever he has kids). I got this card design from a picture in the TAC catalog, I loved it & knew I wanted to make one like it.

That's it for today ladies so have a great weekend & stay cool! Thanks for stopping by today!

BB Q DAD

Hi Ladies!

Hope you had a wonderful day today. I had a few things to do for me today, like get my hair colored & go to the get zapped by my electrologist...always a fun thing to do, yes? She's always very gentle that's why I luv her so much! I'm just so glad that I only have to see her once a year now for a clean up, us dark haired girls really have it tough! I think we have more hair than an ape, hahaha!!!

Had a great lunch with my son & then I decided to go shopping, bought a few things at Michael's & AC Moore & then went to a department store & boy did they have a great sale going on, lots of things were buy 1 get 1 free!!! Yep, I had a ball trying on a lot of clothes mainly tops that I needed. I ended up buying 6 tops & a jacket for $106. that averaged to about $15. a piece...what a bargain! I stopped by there again today after getting my hair done & bought 2 more...couldn't resist, hehehe!!!

Here is another card that I made for father's day & my son ended up picking the card that I thought he would...the lifeguard cat! I really know my son hah? My husband Dan like most men enjoys cooking on the grill, so I think this will be my card to him. I'm very lucky, he loves to cook & has been cooking now for about 23 of our 36 years together. He does the cooking & the grocery shopping, I know I'm a spoiled brat & I know it, but who am I to complain! He just drives me nuts cause he's always trying to feed me all the time.

Well till tomorrow ladies, have a great evening & thanks for stopping by today.

With Daddy's Help!

Good morning Ladies!

What a gorgeous day! Hope its nice & sunny where you live! Today's post will be short & sweet, I need to get ready to meet my son for lunch! My Mother's Day lunch with my son finally, he's been so busy that he just hasn't had the time till today! It's always nice to get together with him & just talk, he has a fantastic interesting job so I'll get to hear more of how modern medical technology has come a long way! But with that great job comes way too many hours of work each week, but you have to sacrifice to make your way & get ahead & in the long run it will be worth it in the future.

Here is the card that I made for Jessica to give her dad for Father's day, I know that Dan will luv this card! Jessica is the sentimental one & this image had a special meaning to her. She remembers dad trying to teach her to ride her bike & wanting to take the training wheels off but being afraid. He took the wheels off but had to put them back on because she was still afraid until the day she said that she really was ready this time. It took a little time & a few tries but when she finally did it she was so proud & so was daddy!

Well that's all for today, have a great day & thanks for popping in & visiting!

Kool Cat - My Life Guard

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend! I made a few cards this weekend so that I could put everything away & concentrate on making that engagement scrapbook for my daughter. No I haven't done any cleaning this weekend, I know I'm a bad girl! I only have 1 room done & I'll probably beat myself up a bit later, 'cause I know I'm going to go nuts at the last minute but really need to watch how much I do so that I don't hurt my back, so I'm doing a little at a time. I think my plan will be do some cleaning & then go into my stamp room & work on the scrapbook a little, I think that will work out for me. Then I need to make cards for my daughter to give to wedding party & also make a few things for the rehearsal dinner! Jessica & I also have a project we need to work on together for gifts, I don't think that will take too long but ya never know & we really need to get started on it sweetie so it gets here on time! Only 6 weeks to go...wow, it sure did come fast!!!

Well anyhoo, here is a card I made this weekend. I thought this cool looking life guard cat dude was so cute & would make a nice card for fathers day. I made a few cards for my son to pick from to give to his dad, Marc likes to give funny cards so I thought this would fit the bill. I also have a few others for him, but I think he's going to choose this one! Jessica already has hers & she picked a Gina K. design stamp, (she's the sentimental one) that I will post tomorrow! Talk to you again soon. Thanks for dropping by today, have a great day!
