Happy Birthday Abby!

Hello Peeps!

Well I have been a busy beaver lately. I've been making cards to fill up my card rack to sell at Jessica's salon. I still have a lot to make & hope to have them all done by September 1st & bring it all over to the shop.

Dan & I were invited to Abby's 1st birthday party Sunday (Jessica's bff's baby) so I had to make a few things for her. I found this awesome card video on Dawn's blog, it's called a Multi Panel card...it's awesome & so easy to make. Go check it out & give it a try, you'll love it! Her theme is animals so I decided to use Gina K Design stamps by Melanie, I love this set & the giraffe is so darn cute! I don't know if you can see the sparkle on the hearts (click on picture to make it bigger) but it's awesome!

Sarah is having people do a scrapbook page for Abby's 1st birthday book. This is a great idea. I helped her with her Supply list & I cut out some dies that I had so they could have a bigger variety to choose from for their pages. I hope they remember to leave room for a picture or two on their page & also write a note for Abby on the page. Most of these people have never made a scrapbook page before, if they need help I will be there to help guide them a little. This is going to be so much fun....I love that they will have a hand in creating memories for Abby.

Close up of the gift tag. I used a Pink copic glitter pen to give it some sparkle after coloring the hearts with a pink copic marker & used Creative Memories alphabet stickers for her name.

Last of the Engagement Layout Pages

Hi gang!

Look what I've been doing today! I worked on finishing Jessica's engagement book, so it's all done! Whew!!! All she needs to do now is to journal, I wanted her to do the journaling because she is the only one who knows how she felt when things were progressing & moving right along towards her special day! I will help guide her & so we will do it together, I know how she & I hate to journal, but you really need to do it so that years from now her children will know who everyone is in these pictures & what she was thinking. I made a heritage book on my mom's life & a lot of the old pictures I did not know who those people were, my mom already had dementia so she was of no help at that time, this is the reason you need to talk about family history & old pictures or else it will be lost forever or worse some children throw out those pictures because they don't know who's in them. I kept some & just journaled that I didn't know who they were. So get out those old pictures & talk to your parents & grandparents about them. Good luck! Now I'll have wedding books to do for me & my daughter & maybe just maybe with all the leftover pictures I have I think I'll make each of the girls a small album of the times shared with Jessica through out her journey to her wedding day. I already have over 200 pictures & I'm ordering a few 5x7's & some duplicates for the girls albums. No pictures from the photographer to view yet, I don't know how long it takes but a few people have told me it takes awhile. Hopefully I can get the albums done by next year...hee! hee! One day at a time, right?

Scrapbook Pages

Hi everyone!

Yes I'm feeling better, thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I took some air bourne & went to bed, I think the rest did me a lot of good. It did not turn into a cold & I felt better the next day. I don't know what it was, but I'm glad it didn't keep me down for long! Sorry I didn't post yesterday but hubby & I were out all day & night.

Here are the pages I worked on last Friday at our monthly crop. I did two other pages but their not finished yet, I'm waiting for a friend to do a font for me on her criket machine for these pages, will post when pages are done. So enjoy & have a great day! This is the first page of the album & was fun to make, I wanted it to be a fun page with lots of stickers. The girls found a tank top that says: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", they just had to have it! Notice the ticket in Jessica's had...she won $70.00 on a penny slot & is going to cash it in to spend at the clubs. They had a great time.


This was the first day that we were in Vegas, we stayed at Caesar's Palace for 2 days & as soon as we got there the girls checked out the pool, then went to put on their bathing suits & soak up the sun for a few hours before heading out to the clubs. When we go to Vegas we usually stay at 2 or 3 different hotel casinos. We usually stay in Vegas for a week when we go, I can't wait to go again, we haven't been for a year & a half. (The wedding takes priority).

Shopping at Caesar's Forum Shops. After having a make-up makeover at Mac's cosmetics (we luv their make-up & introduced Nicki to their line), Elvis (look a like) spotted us walking by & wanted us to take a picture with him...I just think he liked the girls!
