Top Note Sympathy Card

Good mornin' peeps!

I went to Newport & met up with a bunch of my friends and former co-workers last night. We had dinner at my fav place (you know I had my favorite dish... the seafood platter) we caught up with all the news & there was a lot of news. There were 7 of us, some cancelled at the last minute. We had a great time, it's so wonderful when we get together & we need to do it more often, maybe twice a year...how about it girls???

Well onto today's card. The ones we hate to make, but is much easier when we make them ahead of time & put them in our stack for when we DO need them. I had made this one before & it's a favorite of mine...plus it's fast & simple to make. I used the top note die & then embossed with the Manhattan flower folder. Put dimensionals on the back added a ribbon & flower along with a sentiment & was done. The card stock is PTI Rustic Cream...I LOVE this CS.

Thanks for stopping by...I'm so glad you did!!!

Plain & Simple

Good morning peeps!

Today's cards are plain & very simple & I love them! Sometimes you just have to do some of these simple ones to clear your head & take it easy before moving on & trying new things. I have a few cards that I made with Dawn Griffith's "Mother of Pearl" technique. I'll show you that sometime this week & add a link to her tutorial in the post, your going to love this one!

Thanks for stopping by today & have a great day!

While I was on a clean & simple kick, I decided to do this birthday card too.

Gone to the Beach!

Happy Saturday peeps!!!

Today's card & project is something I made for Jessica's birthday last week. She loves the beach & loves going by herself to sit, read & just relax in the sun. I thought this Bella was so perfect & I paired her up with the beach chair scene from Gina K Designs stamp set called "You are my sunshine" & I'm so thrilled with how it turned out. She loved it! The bag is a template by Lauren Meader & you all know I'm a big fan of her templates & use them often for many of my projects, I even have some that I bought but never used yet! I have a link to her template with the picture along with a link to her blog so click on it & take a look at what this talented lady has to offer...you will be amazed with her talent, she's so crafty!!!

Well gotta go & get ready to go out with my hubby today! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Just Chillin'!

Hello peeps!

It's been awhile, sorry but I've been a busy bee! I have lots to do from now till the end of October. I need to finish making cards for my card rack (only have about 20 more to make) before bringing it over to the salon. I sure hope they sell so I can buy more to support this habit of mine, hehehe!!! I also have to make bag toppers for my niece in Texas, I want her to have some pretty bags to give her clients when they purchase gifts at her spa for the holidays. Then it's that time of year we all hate...Fall cleaning! Ugh!!! I need to start doing a little at a time, I have a bad back & can't clean like I used to, by the time I finish, it will be time for Spring cleaning, hahaha!!! That's how bad I am, I hate cleaning but it has to get done right? Right! It WILL get done before the holidays though.

Anyway, today's card is a Stamping Bella called drinkafella...isn't he handsome? He's having a grand old time keeping an eye on the beer & his buddy is all set for football season. All they want to do is have a beer & chill! These cards are the Last of the masculine cards. Next series will be anniversary & sympathy cards before getting to girly birthday cards, so stay tuned for that.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!

Around the World

Hello peeps!

Today's card makes me think of traveling around the world in an old cruise liner of yester year. I love how it turned out, I cased this card from Dawn Griffith.

Short post today, I have to go get ready. I'm spending the whole day with my daughter Jessica, we are going to Quincy to see a funny medium named Maureen Hancock, a real life ghost whisperer with a great sense of humor. She's from our area, she wrote a book called "The Medium Next Door". Here's a link to a video of what she's like, click here to see a little of what she does. If you go on her website here you might be able to see an episode of a show that is supposed to be coming out in the Fall on the "Style" channel starring Maureen called "Physic in Suburbia", this show was AWESOME! It's amazing! Anyway Jessica & I are going out to lunch at her favorite place & then maybe do a little shopping before heading to the show this evening. We are going to have a blast! I'll tell you all about it another day.

Have a fabulous weekend & thanks for dropping by today!

See you on the golf course!

Good morning everyone!

Short post today, I have lots to do, so let's get to it, shall we.

Today's cards are again for the golfer in your life. These stamps are from TAC & I just found out that as of August they went out of business...so sad because their stamps were fantastic. I ended up masking the golf bag with the scenery of the golf course & I love how it turned out, I wish I would have done it to the other one as well but variety is the spice of life...right? I hope you enjoy today's cards.

Have a great day!

I Miss You!

Happy Friday peeps!!!

I made this card for my hubby Dan...it speaks volumes on how I feel. After 5 years of being retired my hubby went back to work (he was bored, no hobbies except in the summer when he worked on the yard) & I sure do miss him. I came across this card by Becky Roberts that was perfect for him & so I cased her card & just changed it up a bit, I used some of the MFT die-namics dies, Basic Grey papers & some green felt for the grass. I love it & both of these sentiments were so fitting for this card. I had to work some magic to get it into his lunch bag before he left for work yesterday...the man just would not give me a break & leave the kitchen, but finally I had a few seconds to reach for the card, unzip the bag & put it in, then zip the bag up again without him seeing or hearing me....I pulled it off though. He called me during his lunch & was very pleased with his card. One thing about Dan, he loves those little touches that make him feel special in my eyes & that's one of the things I love about him! Love you sweetie!!!

I'll have more masculine cards for you this weekend so stay tuned & come back now...ya hear!!! Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

I admire your drive...

Good morning everyone!

It's another soggy & gloomy day here, I hope the rain stops soon...I NEED me some SUNSHINE!!! I wish I could package this rain & send it over to you people in Texas. I'm keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers & I sure do hope you get some relief soon.

Today's cards are made for the golfer in your life. These were made using a stamp set that I bought a few years back from TAC. I like the green design better than the kraft card...what do you think?

Well I'm off to see Jessica, so she can do my hair & make me pretty for the day! It's great having a daughter who's a hair & make-up stylist...I wish I could take her on vacations with me! Hmmmmm....maybe we can take her to Hawaii with us, boy would I love that, I sure hope her & Marc & their spouses can go with us next year, now that would really make it all worth while! I told Dan that I would love to re-new our vows there for our 40th anniversary next year...do you think he got the hint? I surely doubt it! Oh well, I tried!

Have a great day!

Stay dry everyone & thanks for sharing part of your day with me, I really appreciate you all!

Sail Away with me!

Good mornin' peeps!

Today's cards were made with SU's Sail Away stamp. This stamp along with SU's The Open Sea stamp set are awesome nautical stamps for masculine cards, don't you think? I had a blast creating cards with these along with the DP Stampin'up had to go along with these stamps. They no longer sell the designer paper & I so wish I would had ordered at least 2 packages but I only ordered one...oh well! I love old world stamps & I'm going to have to look for some traveling stamps, I think those would be great. I wish I would have ordered the "Travel Log" stamp set, the one that was in the the last mini, I could kick myself for not getting it.

Well that's all for now...have a great day & thanks for stopping by!
