Diaper Cake

Hi everyone,

Hope your all having a wonderful day today. I just finished making this diaper cake for my son's girlfriend Sarah to give to her friend. Hi Sarah! She is on her way here from work to pick it up. I hope she is going to be happy with this one, I love the way it came out! I still didn't get diapers that were all white...where are those anyway? There is no picture on the packages & it doesn't say it has a print either. Oh well at least it's yellow & green, so I can work with that! I'm buying the cheap ones so maybe that's why, I really don't know...I'm out of touch when it comes to this baby stuff. Well that's it for today, have a great evening & I'll be back tomorrow. As always thanks for dropping by today.

Sarah asked me to make her a diaper cake to give to her good friend. So here it is Sarah!

Back of the diaper cake, that little pull toy plays music! It's soooo cute!

Diaper Cake

Happy Saturday everyone!

Well I finished the diaper cake & I must say it was very easy & it came out AWESOME! I luv it!!! I got the tutorial from Susan Liles , if you want to make one you can find the tutorial here. She's a terrific crafter, so make sure you check out her blog.
The thing that I had the hardest time with was putting the rubber band around each layer & row of diapers, it was a challenge doing this alone because you don't have anyone helping you hold the diapers still so that you could put the band around it. I did allot of laughing at myself when it kept popping off. I finally decided to put the band around what I could hold together then sneak the diapers under the band...where there's a will there's always a way right? After I took the picture I put it in a big clear bag that I purchased at Michael's & tied it with some pretty ribbon. Now it's on to making the onesies, I'm going to stamp on plain white onesies with Palette inks & Melanie's animal stamp sets (Just so Hippy, Hoppy etc.) from Gina K Designs & then (hopefully) roll them up to look like flowers & add flowers in between to make a pretty presentation. I hope it all works out. I'm just waiting for my PTI order with the inks to come in...I'm hoping I'll get them Monday. Tomorrow I'm going to work on the baby cards for Jessica & myself. I can't wait for Danielle to see it!!! Jessica will see it tomorrow, she's stopping by to cut her dad's hair, maybe...my poor baby has a cold so I hope you feel better soon sweetie!

Well that's it for today, hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for visiting me today. Take care!

Isn't it sooooo cute!!!
