Goodbye tension...Hello pension!!!

Good mornin' peeps!

Well today's project was something Dan asked me to make for his boss's retirement party, so I sat at my desk & thought of what she might like & came up with a box of all occasion cards. I remembered that Deanna had a box on her blog that I liked & the size she made is perfect for A2 size cards. Once I found it again I went upstairs to work & made the box first, then a few days later made the top of the box along with the 2 sympathy cards to match the box. After that I set out to make a few more cards along with some cards that I had in my stash. Then I made her retirement card, I've made this card before & love this image & card design...it's my go to design for retirement cards (unless it's for a male, then I will have to come up with a different image & I have a few in mind, hahaha!!!) Dan told me that she loved it! That made me a happy crafter! Don't you love it when people appreciate your work?

Thanks for joining me today, you know how much I love your company! Have a great day!

This box fit 10 cards. This box was created by my good friend Deanna, click HERE for her tutorial...she's amazing! Thanks Deanna!

I made 2 sympathy cards to match the box.

I put 10 cards & envelopes in the box - a mixed set of birthday, wedding, sympathy, baby, get well, etc.

Red, White & Blue Gift

Good mornin' Peeps!

I'm back...so sorry that it's been awhile but I lost my mojo for awhile but I had a few must do projects so my mojo came back.

Here is a project I did for my daughter-in-law's birthday.  I never know what to  get her but I know they have a BBQ & pool party for their neighbors....sooooooo I thought this would be a great idea to add to her table.  What do you think?  She liked it & so that made me happy!!!

Thank you so much for joining me & I hope you liked what you saw here today!  Stay cool & have a great day!

Birthday card for Sarah - I used SU Honeycomb embossing folder, punched out paper hexagons with Creative Memories small hexagon punch (retired), cut out stars using spellbinders star nesties, used SU word punch & modern label punch for my sentiment & added rhinestones to stars & dimensionals for star & sentiment

Fold a pocket in the napkins & place utensils inside & decorate

Favors - Red & white striped candy mints inside for after the BBQ meal

Makes a great hostess gift - but give it before the 4th of July so they can use it.

Baby Gift & Card Idea

Good morning Peeps!

I’m back with another project & card that I created for a friend. She's expecting a baby at the end of the month (it's a boy) & I wanted to make her something that I thought she would love & also give her a baby outfit to go along with this gift. She loved it!!! Score one for me, hahaha!!!

This cute idea was easy & so much fun to create. I love making things for people who appreciate hand made gifts...don't you?

Thanks for dropping by & have a great day...it's going to be a gorgeous one here, around 80 degrees today! Time to open some windows!

Altered this box that I saved from one of my favorite hotels in Vegas, it came with a sewing kit, shower cap, etc., they left one in the room everyday & everyday I would stash it in my suitcase, so I ended up with 3 boxes that I use for this cute baby gift idea. Wouldn't you know it...they no longer put these out. I guess they have to change it up so guests don't get bored, hahaha!!!

Box with closet hangers to organize all those different size clothes & when your done store them away in this cute little box!

Onesie card to go along with her gift

Easter Baskets

Good mornin' Peeps!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, we sure did!  Having the family over for dinner always makes me happy.  I have a cute photo at the end of this post of my hubby & Braelynn....it's so precious, I LOVE it.  If you follow me on Facebook then you saw it already but for those of you who don't have Facebook I thought you would like it.

I made these cute little baskets to put on everyone's plate, I always make a little something for the table for everyone for special occasions.  My son is sneaky & stole one of my eggs, I think he took one of Dan's too when he wasn't looking, hahaha!!!  Anyway, I made the chicks for us ladies & rabbits for men.  I bought a cute little soft bunny for Braelynn.  I can't wait to do an Easter egg hunt next year for her...I miss those days when the kids were little & we did that for them.

Thanks for hanging out with me, have a great day!

 Easter Bunny for Braelynn!

I LOVE you grandpa!  Melts my heart!

She did this a couple of times & I was so glad that I got to capture it when she did it the second time.

Card Sketchbooks & Blizzard of 2013 Pictures

Happy Friday Peeps!

Today I have a couple of sketchbooks that I made for myself & a friend.  You can get the PDF file for free & a video tutorial from Kristina Werner by clicking HERE.  It was fun to make & sometimes comes in handy when I have an idea in my head & need to put it to paper & see how it might look before I cut my DSP.

Have fun & thanks for stopping by today!

Here are a few pictures of what happened to our yard during the Blizzard of 2013, we had a very tall pine tree fall across our driveway (thank God) & NOT toward our house or new car.  Some branches from the pines in front of the house still fell a few days later so we have a big mess on our hands & lots of work to do in a few weeks once the snow melts.  I am so very grateful to our neighbors on both sides of us who helped Dan cut up a little of the tree so we could get out of our driveway, then they both returned to help snow blow the driveway with Dan's small snow blower.  Thank you so much Ed & Glen you are both the best!

You can click or double click on the pictures to make them bigger & sometimes click again to make them even bigger (the original size).

The twin to this tree fell across our driveway.

Extended all the way across our front yard, some of the branches went into the road but the plow just swept them out of the way.

Pine trees in the front left side of our yard next to Glen's house, a lot of these branches fell off & you can no longer see the trunk of that big pine tree because of the fallen branches.

Ed, Glen & Dan snow blowing the driveway....we have the BEST neighbors!

Just missed our mailbox & the road.

Glen & Dan had to roll the logs over to the side of the driveway & they were really heavy...they had a hard time rolling them in the snow.

I leave you with Dan finishing up the driveway.  This blizzard did lots of damage all along New England, some people were without power 5 days.  As of today (a week later)  I think all power has been restored.

Thanksgiving Favors

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing the favors I made for Thanksgiving, I have to keep up the tradition because everyone loves to get whatever surprise I put inside (they also like having a place card or something with their names on them as well)...some sweet yummy for their tummies, hahaha!!!

Come back tomorrow for a little touch of Hawaii! Wish I was still there, where it's nice & warm instead of this bitter cold. It's warming up for the next few days here, supposed to be in the 40's & low 50's...that is so much better than the teens. Have a great day!

SU Christmas Keepsake Gift Box

Good mornin' Peeps!

NOW I remember why I don't post so much anymore...I hate this NEW blogger set up, I can NEVER find anything anymore. I have a hard time finding the area where I'm supposed to post. It takes me awhile to find the location of things, not as easy as the old way & I get frustrated to easy but I AM determined even though I don't like the arrangement. Then as I'm typing, it's telling me the HTML is in error even though everything looks good on the post...I don't get it. Today I found an area that let me change something on the HTML, to something they call "Show HTML literally"...what the hell does that mean? So I'm giving that a try, ugh!!! Is this supposed to be easier??? I think not!!! Anyway, let me move on.

I bought these boxes from the SU clearance rack last February & put them together, that was soooo much fun! It's still in the clearance rack, it's called "Christmas Keepsake box & it's $11.97 (reg. price was $19.95), the only things I had to buy to finish off this project was the stamp set "Pines & Poinsettia's" which I already had(not sure if they retired that set, so it might not be available) & some spray adheasive for the glitter. I then put the boxes away in a plastic bin till I needed them. When the cookies arrived (they are individually wrapped) I wanted to see if they would fit in this box & they fit perfectly on their sides, I just added tissue paper. This box is the perfect sized for a scarf, a t-shirt, hat & so many other items if you want to give it a try. It comes with easy to follow instructions & there was a video with Shelli & her daughter making one, I used the video but I no longer have the link. If you ask a demo maybe she knows if its still on the SU Home page somewhere.

Tomorrow I will have some Gift card holders & a money card for you & that will be the end of my Christmas projects. I hope to see you back her tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by & have a great day! Stay warm everyone, it's freezing out there.

Click on the pictures to make them bigger.

SU Christmas Box - I filled this box with "Honolulu Cookies" for both of my kids. Yummmmmm....we ALL love these cookies & this box was perfect for them. Great presentation!
