Anyone for a Bubble Bath???

Hi everyone,

Hope your all having a fabulous weekend & enjoying some good weather. This is a card I made for Flossie's birthday, I love how it turned out! I sent her a BRAK package about 10 days ago & she finally received it today, I can't believe how slow it's taking for packages to get to their destinations. My birthday RAK to Teri is on a SLOW boat to China then going to Hawaii because it's been just over 2 weeks since I mailed that package & she has not gotten it yet, cheesh!!! Anyway, I got her a lavender bath bomb (that's what they call it) with a lavender candle, & a few small goodies. Hopefully she will enjoy her nice relaxing bath, I figured she would need it after her stressful move to a new place, so enjoy Flossie!!! She should be back blogging & making cards soon! We miss you!

Well that's it for today, take care & enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!

Last of the Engagement Layout Pages

Hi gang!

Look what I've been doing today! I worked on finishing Jessica's engagement book, so it's all done! Whew!!! All she needs to do now is to journal, I wanted her to do the journaling because she is the only one who knows how she felt when things were progressing & moving right along towards her special day! I will help guide her & so we will do it together, I know how she & I hate to journal, but you really need to do it so that years from now her children will know who everyone is in these pictures & what she was thinking. I made a heritage book on my mom's life & a lot of the old pictures I did not know who those people were, my mom already had dementia so she was of no help at that time, this is the reason you need to talk about family history & old pictures or else it will be lost forever or worse some children throw out those pictures because they don't know who's in them. I kept some & just journaled that I didn't know who they were. So get out those old pictures & talk to your parents & grandparents about them. Good luck! Now I'll have wedding books to do for me & my daughter & maybe just maybe with all the leftover pictures I have I think I'll make each of the girls a small album of the times shared with Jessica through out her journey to her wedding day. I already have over 200 pictures & I'm ordering a few 5x7's & some duplicates for the girls albums. No pictures from the photographer to view yet, I don't know how long it takes but a few people have told me it takes awhile. Hopefully I can get the albums done by next year...hee! hee! One day at a time, right?

Take care all & have a great evening! Thanks for stopping by today!

Blog Candy!!!

I'm back with some blog candy to celebrate my blogaversary! Wow I can't believe it's been a year since I started this blog, well actually 1 year & 1 month to be exact. My blogaversary was actually July 8th but as you all know I was very busy with my daughter preparing for her wedding at that time so I figured I would wait till August to celebrate with blog candy! I have been so blessed with making so many friends here in blogland, it blows my mind how far away some of you are, it's amazing really! Some of you I am closer to than others & I keep in contact thru emails, but I appreciate each & every one of you who visit me here on my blog. So in appreciation for visiting me & helping me celebrate I have put together some blog candy & all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what is your favorite card to make right now. Example: waterfall cards, suspension cards, window cards etc, get the picture? I want to try the waterfall card soon. So go leave me a comment & I will pick a winner next Wednesday Aug. 13th, please one comment per person. This is open to USA & Canada people only, I'm sorry but I just can't afford mail prices for overseas...I wish it were cheaper to send packages there, so please forgive me.

SU retired Birthday Whimsy
Flower paper crimper
2 spools of ribbon
6x6 sheets of paper

Winner will be picked Wednesday Aug. 13 so Good Luck to you all!

Girl on a Bike...

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately but life gets in the way ya know. I figured I would post before going to the doctors today, don't worry it's just my semi annual check up & I need to go for a blood test first so I can't even have my COFFEE this morning...ugh!!! I can be a bear without my COFFEE!!! I have been blowing off the blood work for a looooooong time & she is quite mad, so I figured I better do it today, I always had the wedding as an excuse but can't do that anymore, hehehe!!! By the time I remember that I need to go for my blood test I have already had coffee so that day is blown to bits & then I forget about it, it's not like I go into that city all the time...I rarely go there, usually only when I have a doctor's appointment or just drive by it. So I know I'm going to hear it from her today, she's not going to be too happy with me. I probably won't get my COFFEE till after my doctor's appointment after 1:30 that's a long time to go without COFFEE!!! Oh well!

I love Sarah Kay stamps, these images are so beautiful & easy to work with & color! My good friend Jen sells them in her store called "Little C's Stamps n' Things", I just pre ordered a few of the Christmas ones, their beautiful! Pop on over there & take a peek she has some awesome stuff! You will be seeing a lot of these stamps in the coming days, I will try to mix it up a bit for you. The background of this card I learned from a few other stampers in blogland who have used this technique & thought I would give it a try. I love it!!! I inked one side of the textile embossing folder & ran it through my cuttlebug & its awesome. If you flip the folder over so that the cuttlebug words are facing down ink that side this time then run it through the cuttlebug the same way, words on the bottom...it gives you a whole different look, I used very vanilla cs for this card. By the way don't forget to wash the folder when your done so that it doesn't stain, it comes out looking new again. Give it a try. Hope you like it!

Well that's it for today, I hope to post blog candy later or tomorrow, the picture is taken & just waiting for me to post, so stay tuned. Have a great day & thanks for stopping by today! Hope I didn't bore you too much about the NO COFFEE thing, Hehehe!!!

Hi everyone,

Hope your enjoying your weekend, it sure is a beautiful one too!!! Well I'm really getting bad at posting awards lately...so sorry Jana & Risa. I don't know if it's because of the wedding (really that's when I received these) or sheer laziness, me thinks the latter! Hehehe!!! But I can blame it on the wedding for now. Anyway here are the awards. Have to work on some cards this weekend so that I will have something to post next week. Enjoy your weekend & thanks for stopping by my blog today!
