Yearning for Lilac's

Hello Peeps!

Well I finished the wedding programs & now I have to make my wedding card to go along with this wedding gift & I will be shipping it off to the bride next week. I still have wedding party thank you cards to make but I will start on that next week & mail those off later.

Is everyone yearning for Spring & flowers? I know I am ready to get winter over with & start seeing some flowers. I can't wait to see my tulips & lilies bloom, I am soooooo ready for Spring!!! I saw this stamp at my favorite store "Bella Art" & knew I had to have it & it was a challenge to make those lilacs pop & look real when I didn't even have any purple copics but I think I accomplished my goal, what do you think? I used SU markers for the flowers & copics for the vase, it took me awhile but I think I got it. Purple copics on my long list of copics to buy....man there are sooooooooo many to buy!

Well that's it for today folks, thanks for stopping by & have a great day! Still dreary & wet here. Take care!

Tri Shutter Card

Hello people!

Well I finally tried my hand at making a tri-shutter card & I'm happy to say that I love the way it came out! The only thing that I would do different is put pearls on the body of the Cameo Coral butterflies to make it look even prettier. I don't think it's bad for my first try, what do you think? I always make Jessica's best friend & her hubby a birthday card every year & they really look forward to it. They never know what they will be getting in the mail but they love the surprise when they open that envelope & know that the card is from me. I love making cards & projects for people who can appreciate a handmade item, it really makes my day! The reward for me is seeing their smile or hearing it in their voice when they call me to say they loved it!

That's all the posts I have for this week & won't be making anything else this week. I will be working on my wedding program folders for my niece's wedding which is in April so I need to work, work, work! I hope to have something for you next week.

Well gotta run but thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Mellie's Birthday Wish

Good morning peeps!

Short post today, I have errands to run & it's yucky out there so I'm having hubby drive me around cause I hate driving in this stuff. I wanted to post before I get ready. Here is another easel card...boy do I LOVE making these, their so simple to make & I love the look, they are addicting! This was actually the second one that I made & I really should have put more into the inside, oh well live & learn right? It's getting better! Again so sorry for the blurred pics, I took pics twice & took plenty of pics but these are the best of about 40 so bare with me people. I need to see whats going on with my camera, I sure hope it gets better because I DON'T want to get another camera right now. I need to purchase a laptop & get this computer worked on. Yep you guessed it, I'm still having problems with this one & we think that we are going to take it in to a professional to see what is wrong & what we can do about it. Don't know when that will happen but I will let you know so that you know I will not post for a few days while its away.

Well that it for now, have a great day...Ta Ta, for now peeps!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day people! Hope your all having a wonderful day with your sweetheart! I made this card for my hubby yesterday & he loved it, funny thing is when he bought my card he got one with hearts raised (like on dimensionals)similar to this one but the hearts were going up & down. Great minds think alike, hahaha!!! He said he got it cause it reminded him of the cards I make. Isn't he a sweetie? I think I'll keep him all to myself...he's the BEST!

I saw this card on someones blog but I don't remember who's & forgot to write it down so that I could give them credit for inspiring me so if you recognize it & know who made it please let me know so I can give them credit & link to their blog. I just made a few changes from the original. Hope you like it. Have a great Valentine & thanks for stopping by today.

Book Paper Vintage Scallop Flower

Hi everyone!

Well here is another easel card, be prepared to see a lot of these, I love making them! I found this flower on Dawn McVey's blog & fell in love with this vintage looking flower so if you want to see how to make it click on Dawn's name to see the tutorial.

Well we lucked out again with the snow storms, we only got about 6 inches...we're real happy about that, not much shoveling for Dan. I know that some of you have gotten hit real hard & some are really enjoying it, those are the ones who don't get to see much snow usually. It's so beautiful to wake up to see the trees covered in snow & the snow glistening on the ground this morning(reminded me of my dazzling diamonds glitter) but by the end of the day the feeling wore off & I was wishing for Spring & warmer temperatures again. Well that's it for today, thanks for stopping by and visiting with me. Have a great evening!

Tote-ally Tess

Hello my Peeps!

I made this cute little card for a blog friend of mine & I don't think she got it yet so I can't put her name down. I love this stamp set & as soon as I spotted this set in the Occasions mini I knew I had to have her...don't you just love it?! She's so darn cute & what a great image to put on a card for your demonstrator or a fellow stamper. I love how this card turned out except for the marker sticking out from behind her hair. One other thing I would change would be to stamp the tools in her bag on white CS & cut them out in a group & fit them inside the bag so it looks like their peeking out, instead of all in blue like I did but we all learn from our mistakes right? I apologize for the blurred pictures lately, I don't know whats up with my camera. Sometimes they come out good & other times they come out blurry. I can't figure it out, sorry. Hope you all have a great day & thanks so much for visiting!

I stamped the tools all around the 3 sides & didn't notice the marker was sticking out from behind her hair till after I took the pictures. When I placed Tess on top with dimensionals I had no idea this was looking weird...oh well it just looks like she placed the marker in her hair so she could use it right away, hehehe!!! Next time I'll make sure that doesn't happen.

Easel Card

Hey there peeps how are ya today?

Hope all is well with everyone. Well I have a few birthday cards to share with you over the next few days that I've made over the past couple of weeks & still have more to make. It seems like lots of people are celebrating their birthdays in January & February cause I have had tons of birthday cards to make lately. I've already sent these cards out but some of them have not received it yet so I won't put any names with the cards because I don't want to spoil the surprise.

I made a few easel cards & I love making these, they are so easy to make & lots of fun to create. The easel card was on my to make list & I'm so happy that I decided to make them now. I was a little intimidated to try it out but I'm sure glad I gave it a try because it was NOT as hard as I thought it would be. I hope you like it as much as I do, I got my inspiration for this card from Dawn when she made this card, thanks Dawn, you always inspire me! Have a great evening!

I'm Back!!!

Hello Peeps!

So sorry its been awhile but I was having computer issues, it's still not fully resolved but it's better. I hope to buy myself a laptop for my birthday & hope to bring it with me when I go on vacation in April. Speaking of birthday's, I can't believe I'm going to be the BIG 60 in April & when I say that, I mean that I am truly DEVASTATED about this number. I have never been bothered by age before, it didn't bother me when I turned 30, 40 or 50 I always said its just a number but....60 oh my, now that is an age I DON'T want to be. I guess I could look at it like I'm glad & thankful that I'm still here, well I guess I'm going to have to start lying about my age from now on, I think I'll be 45 from now on...EVERY year! Hahaha!!!

I had to make a sympathy card for a friend a few weeks ago, she lost her mother & I never seem to have any cards on hand. I find that these cards are the most difficult to make. Does that happen with you too when it comes to sympathy cards? I need to make some so I can have them on hand, it's never easy to make them when you have to...note to self "make sympathy cards", that goes on my to do list. I cased this card from Gina K on Stamp TV, I just adjusted my measurements for the main image & I love how this card turned out. I think I'm going to make more with this design.

I have been working on my niece's wedding programs for her April wedding in California, I'm making 40 of them this time (that's not so bad)& they are the exact same design that I made for my son's wedding, Joyce loved them so much that she was hoping I would make them for her & of course I was happy to do so. I can't wait to go out west & I hope to connect with Maria for lunch or something while I'm out there, I can't wait to meet you Maria!

Well that's all for today gang, I hope you have a great Sunday & enjoy the "Super Bowl"!
