Viva Las Vegastamps Store

Hi peeps!

This is a short post the Internet is slow this afternoon for some reason but the pictures & my smile say it all...don't ya think?

Viva Las Vegastamps store, here's a video of the store...take a look.

Here is a link to their blog. If your ever in Vegas take a look at this store, it's AMAZING!!! It's just off on a little side street but it's still part of the main avenue. We had a hard time finding it so get to the block then the block continues off a side street, it took me awhile to figure that out. It will have a small street sign saying the number 1100 to 1110 (or something like that) turn at that sign & the store is in that area. I'm sure you'll find it.

I ended up spending more than I wanted but I will be stopping in there every time I come to Vegas & I will buy a stamp or two every time from now on, now that I know about it.

Well we leave tomorrow morning so I will be back home late Tuesday evening. Talk to you soon. Thanks for stopping by today!

Right through that door is stamp heaven...it's called Viva Las Vegastamps store

I'm in stamp heaven!!! This store is AWESOME!!! Look at that BIG smile on my face...it says it all!

Thank You Card

I luv how this easel card turned out. I also made a birthday card like this too, I'll post that one Wednesday.

Well tomorrow we head back home...wish we could stay out here forever, no...not Vegas but here in the warm sunny West! I LOVE it here!!!

Have a great day & thanks for dropping by!

Hello from Vegas!!!

Hello peeps!

As you all know I'm here in sunny Las Vegas & we are having a ball even though we're not winning a lot of money we're at least holding our own. We lose a little, win a little, it goes up & down but we're NOT down a lot so that's a good thing. I finally have internet service here at the Palazzo hotel so I'm able to upload my post today.

I finally met Teri on Friday & she is so beautiful inside & out, a real angel! I also met her sister Cheryl & brother-in-law, their all so wonderful. We girls went off to talk & of course we had to have some oh so yummy dessert here at the Palazzo where I'm staying. I have some pictures below for you to see, I couldn't forget to share that with all of you. We talked about so many things & how awesome that stamp store is here in Vegas...I have pictures of that too, I'll share those pictures tomorrow. We had so much fun but so short a time together. I showed them around the shops here at the hotel & Teri took pictures of the wood carvings at a store here & the Gondola ride, I'm sure she will have pictures to share with you as well when she returns home, so go check out her awesome blog soon. I am thrilled & honored to have such a wonderful friend (we have known each other from blogland for 3 years) & to have met her in person was such a wonderful experience for me. Love you sweetie & thanks so much for all the wonderful goodies from Hawaii, Dan & I ate some of them when we needed some snacks & they were so yummy. Saving the coffee for when we get home, thanks again. I will see you again maybe next year when I visit Hawaii.

If I have time tomorrow I will post some pictures from the stamp store here...it's awesome & I spent more than I wanted. Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to make my Great niece Kim a card to put a gift card in to show our appreciation for her hospitality & I thought this card was perfect for it. Well we should be leaving San Diego & my family today & heading back to Vegas. Our friend Barbara should be arriving tomorrow & we will be picking her up at the airport. I think Teri is also arriving tomorrow...who knows maybe we'll be bumping into her there if she's arriving at the same time. I can't wait to meet Teri & spend some time with her. One Layer Card

Well today Jessica & I are going to the spa for a manicure & pedi (Jessica's treat part of my birthday gift), she's such a thoughtful daughter & it gives us more time together, which I luv! She's coming over to do Dan's hair first & then we have our appointment this afternoon. I have some errands to run before she gets here, I have a busy day today, I also have to pack enough clothes for two weeks.

I made three of these cards & threw out the first one because I didn't like the way it came out but I managed to hold onto 2 of them, it was a learning curve I'll tell ya. I sent these to the other two girls who shared my birthday with me yesterday, I hope they liked it! I got the idea from Angie over at Chic' n Scratch. She is a great crafter & she has lots of ideas & videos so go take a look.

Gotta go & get ready now. We leave very early tomorrow morning so I won't be posting but I'm going to try to do some pre posting if I can find some time today & hope all goes well. If I get some good Internet service I will try to post some pictures. I'll be taking my laptop with me. Hey Teri, see you soon kiddo!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

CS: PTI Vintage Cream
Ink: PTI Perfect Match New Leaf, Dark Chocolate & SU Brilliant Blue
Stamps: SU Well Scripted & Heard from the heart
I punched out the bird & branch, I then took the punched piece & used it as a stencil instead of the punched out pieces & used a dauber to ink the inside of the stencil, this one didn't come out too good (you can see the error in the wing) but after 3 tries the 3rd one came out a little better. I guess practice makes perfect

Cupcake anyone???

Hi everyone!

My card today was made for a sweet dear friend of mine who also celebrates her birthday with me today & I sent her this card. I have two more friends (all from work) who share my birthday & those cards I will share in the coming days. I saw a card at Michael's in the dollar section & thought if I cut the size down I can make this so I bought it & took it apart to get the shape & it took me awhile & a few tries to get the size I wanted to fit my card base but finally got it right & this was the end result. Don't know if I will ever make another one though.

Well I had a fantastic day yesterday with my kids & hubby. We had a light lunch here at my house, then played some cards & then we were off to Boston to celebrate my birthday by going to a great Italian Restaurant called Limoncello's. The food was great & I think the kids & our waiter were trying to get me drunk...I had 2 glasses of wine & a shot of Limoncello (boy that stuff is great!!!). I was feeling good (it doesn't take much for me) but I was not drunk. Then the waiter & owner came over with a cake that the kids ordered ahead & sang Happy birthday. After dinner they took me to The Improv Asylum & that was FANTASTIC, I loved it! We laughed so much!!! I hated to have the evening end...Thanks so much kids & to my sweet dear hubby for making my 60th birthday memorial! I love you so much....BIG KISSES for you all!!!

That's it for now people, thanks for stopping by today!

Marc & Sarah's Wedding Slideshow

Sorry it took so long to post this slide show, I know it's 5 months late but better late than never right? I finally got around to uploading the wedding & honeymoon Safari pictures yesterday in order to make the slide shows. I've posted the wedding one today & tomorrow I will post the African Safari slide show. I tried to select a few pictures from everything but it was so hard to narrow it down to somewhere between 35 to 40 pictures for each slide show...I didn't want to bore you with too many pictures. I had tons of pictures to sort through so I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Bon Appetit!

Good mornin' peeps!

This is the card I made for my niece's bridal shower. I'm putting a basket together with breakfast items, pancakes, syrup, muffins, jams etc. with shrink wrap & placing this card with ribbon on the gift that I will put together when I arrive in San Diego. I shipped it out a few weeks ago so I wouldn't have to carry it on the plane. I'll see if I can take a picture of it after I wrap it. I luv how this came out.

I have so much to do to get ready for my trip, right now I'm doing some laundry & I hope to get to the closets & get out the bins with our summer clothes so I can figure out what I'm going to bring. So much to do so little time. Gotta go! Have a great day!

A Penny for your Thoughts...

Good morning all,

Hope you had a great Easter, mine was fabulous! Any time I get to spend with my kids is always a joy! I get to see them again Saturday for my birthday celebration, their taking me to Boston for some fun activities!!! I can't wait...wow 2 weeks in a row to spend time with the kids that's a gift I always treasure!

Anyway, onto my card. Jessica's best friend Sarah is having a baby in August & I wanted to send her & Troy a congratulations card. I saw these Whiff of Joy images last year & just had to get them along with the wedding images I bought, hehehe...I was thinking ahead! I also have the one with Willow holding her baby & will probably use that one after Sarah brings her newborn home. These images are so precious, I love them! I look at this image & wonder what is she thinking? Is she thinking about what kind of mother she will be or if her baby will be healthy or smart? Didn't we all go through the same thing when we were pregnant, so many thoughts go through our minds. What do you think she is thinking of as she sits on the swing?

It's a beautiful day here in New England, right now hubby is working in the yard for awhile & then we are going to go & enjoy this fabulous day! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
