Pink & Chocolate Card Tin

Good morning everyone!

Quick post today, here is the all occasions card tin that I made for Jessica. Same as Sarah's but a different color combo. I luv both color combos! Hope you like them, they were fun to make. This was my first time making these & I think that the next time I make one (for me) I'm going to use card stock for the dividers & decorate that instead of cutting cardboard & then covering it up with DP because I used up a lot of DP on the dividers. Well that's all I have for you for 2008, so I will post again in 2009...have a great New Year everyone!!! Talk to you soon & thanks for stopping by!

Jessica loves pink so of course I had to make hers pink & I added the chocolate Chip to it... she loved it!

First Card Tin

Hi all!

Hope you had a great weekend! I just stayed home relaxed & did nothing...don't you just love when you get to do that, I do!!! Well the holidays are almost over & we can get back to our normal routines. That also means get ready for a few months of cold & bad snowy weather. This is the part of the year I dread...the bitter cold, ugh!!! I hope to take down my Christmas decorations some time this week. What about you, when do you take down yours?

Anyway on to my project. I made two of these card tins as gifts for my daughter Jessica & future daughter-in-law Sarah. I luv how they came out but had trouble with the chipboard letters. I was not a happy camper with the 2 boxes of pretty letters that I bought to match these papers for this project. I did not have the S in the box for Jessica's tin but I did have something that I could use to sort of match those that I bought but it was not perfect & one thing about me, I like things to be perfect but did not have the time to fuss with these. Sarah's box of letters I did not have the A & I had nothing here that I could use to match those so I had to make my own letters with CS for her tin with the CB font dies. All in all not a bad job, it could have been better but what can ya do...that's life!

Well I will post Jessica's tin tomorrow so until then have a great day! Thanks for stopping by today!

Snowman Soup

Hi peeps!

Yes, I'm still here! I had my tooth pulled on Monday morning...finally!!! Slept all day, the pain pills really knocked me out, I did not like the way these pills made me feel so I was glad that I did not have to take them on Tuesday, the pain was gone when I got up Tuesday morning. Now it's just getting over the healing process & going back to the dentist on Monday to take out the stitch. Blood pressure was very low, I was amazed at how it went from one extreme to the next. The human body is truly a complex thing! The dentist said at least you know the meds work, yah Thank God!!! I did a little blog hopping in between sleeping to see what everyone was up to & boy you all are whipping out those cards & creations like your the elves cranking out those toys the day before Christmas to make those deadlines! Hehehe!!! You go peeps, I need to catch up!

Well on to my project. I love this idea which I got from Angie over at Chic n' Scratch. Angie is one talented lady who also makes videos to help us learn how to make her projects & cards. Hop on over there & take a look for yourself your going to luv her!!! Click HERE to go over to her Stampin' Academy to watch her video on the making of this project...your going to luv it!!!

I need to work on a project today that I hope to share as soon as I'm finished. Then I still have a few more projects to work on, I sure hope I can get everything done on time. My decorations & tree are all done, Dan & I did that this past weekend. Now this weekend I hope to wrap my gifts...whew, I think I just might make it! I feel like Christmas has crept up on us so fast this year & I just was not prepared for it & a lot of people feel the same way! What's up with that this year??? Well I need to get to my craft room & crack that whip & get to work, so take care & have a great day! Thanks as always for stopping by today people & Happy Stamping all!!!

I couldn't get a good picture of the back where the poem is, it either came out blurry or sideways, sorry. Here is the Poem for the Snowman Soup that is in the back of the image on the packet:

Snowman Soup

Was told you’ve been real good this year, always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near, you’ll need to warm the spirit.
So, here’s a little Snowman Soup, complete with stirring stick.
Just add hot water & sip it slow. It’s sure to do the trick!

Here is what went into some of the packages that I sent out for Christmas, some got the Candy Cane Mouse instead of the M&M Pillow box but they all got the Snowman Soup packets! That ribbon on the pillow box is supposed to be in the middle of the box with the bow in the top middle. I forgot to take a picture of the first batch that went out with the Holiday Lineup Snowmen so Deb let me steal her pic that she put on her blog, thanks Deb! Isn't this so cute!!!

This is a different image, I like the SU Holiday Lineup Snowmen better. I'll just have to buy it after the holidays for next year. I think it looks fantastic with this packet don't you?

Happy Mail & Good News

Hi everyone!

I'm not sure if you remember but a few months back I said that I would have some news to share with you but couldn't tell you yet, well I can finally spill the beans!!! I'm soooooo excited about this, my son finally popped the question last night, so Marc & Sarah are ENGAGED, Yippee!!! They went to Washington DC for the weekend (part of his plan), he proposed in front of the Christmas Tree at the Capitol from what Sarah said last night when she called me. I'll get more details when they get home. She was so excited & the connection mostly background noises was not that good but its finally out of the bag & I couldn't be happier, she's a wonderful girl & I love her to pieces! I'm so happy for both of them, congratulations to you both!

Well on to the reason that your all here, today I am sharing 2 RAK's that I got in the mail last week. Click on their names & it will take you to their blogs for some fantastic creations! Thank you so much Jodi & Jen! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend & finish your shopping & decorations, I'm going to start on mine in about an hour I hope. Thanks for stopping by today & keep on smiling!

Here is the Happy Mail I received last week!

From Jodi Ann. Thanks Jodi!

From Jen. Thanks Jen!

Christmas Penguin Card

Hi everyone!

Well I did NOT get my tooth pulled today, my blood pressure was sky high & I do mean sky high! I haven't had it that high in years, it blew my mind & scared me even more after the nurse told me what it was, then the dentist took it & it went up a little higher so it was a no go. I just took my pressure & its back to normal or what I consider normal for me. So I have an appointment for Monday morning & I am to take my blood pressure pills in the morning this time with a little bit of water to get it down. Oh well we will try again. My pressure always goes up when I go to any doctor, I think my doctor takes that to heart but I don't know how to not let it affect me, I can't help it, I get nervous. Hope your day is going better than mine.

Here is another card that I made like the one I did the other day. I luv this design & if you want to make one look at my Christmas lineup post to get the link for Dawn's video. These are easy & fun cards to make!

Well that's it for today, I hope you all have a great weekend! Take care & thanks for stopping by today!

Candy Cane Mouse!

Good morning people!

Hope everyone is having a good day. It's lousy out here, rainy & dark but no wind today, my it was so windy yesterday. Well I've made a few things this week & this candy cane mouse is the cutest thing, I love it!!! If you want to make one, click here to go over to view Dawn's video & get the details, they are so much fun to make! I used up the 2 sheets of Creamy Caramel that I had left to make 10 of them so now I need to order some Creamy Carmel in my next order after Christmas, I sure do hope Santa got me a SU gift certificate so I can replenish my stock. Hahaha!!!

I'm off today to see Jessica & have her do my hair this afternoon & then tomorrow morning I have an appointment with the dentist to take my molar out, I'm going to sleep (knock me out please) for this one! I don't know about any of you but I can take a lot of pain but when it comes to my teeth I'm like a big baby, I don't want to see or hear nothing!!! This tooth is not bothering me right now but I wanted it out because it is hollow inside & only has the outer shell, so my regular dentist said it could crack at any time & I'm going to lose it eventually because the nerve is right under the filling, so I thought get that sucker out BEFORE I have a problem because with my luck it would happen on a weekend.

I'm hoping to get my tree & decorations up this weekend & then next week wrap my gifts. I still have some gifts to make & will have more projects to share with you as I finish. The project I was working on with the Holiday Lineup stamp set, (the Snowman images that Diane sent me) went out in the mail & I FORGOT to take a picture of it in my haste to get it out in the mail right away. So hopefully when someone gets it & takes a picture I can ask them if I can copy their picture to put on my blog....I'm such a ditz!!! Does that happen to you when your in a hurry & you forget to do something? Well that's it for today, have a great one! Thanks for stopping by!
