Good evening all!

Well the day is almost over & I'm finally posting, oh my! I've been on & off the computer all day today. I have a project that I've been working on today & I'm making 4 of them...I loved it soooo much I decided to make one for myself!!! Hehehe!!! It's about half done & I will finish it on Thursday because hubby & I are going out tomorrow. I'll talk about it on Thursday & will post the finished project some time next week. Colorful Thank You Card

Good afternoon Ladies!

It's beautiful & sunny outside today, hope your all having a great day! I'm getting ready to go to A.C. Moore to try & get some holiday paper for cards, they are really late in getting Christmas holiday products out this year, has anyone else had that problem with their Michael's & A.C. Moore? Well hope they have the Basic Grey that
I'm looking for today!

Thanks to all of you for your comments on my post about the storm. The tree is only half cut up & due to the fact that it gets dark early now (ugh!!!) because of time change, we (they) won't get to finish cutting the tree till the weekend.

Well it's safe to say that Mary from "It's All About the Journey" has received my thank you card that I sent her for winning the blog candy on her blog. I love this card because for the first time I used such bright colors & love how it all came together. So here is a picture of the card I sent her. Check out her blog, she has such wonderful cards & is very talented. Thanks again Mary.
Well I'm off shopping, so have a wonderful day & thanks for stopping by, Happy Stamping!

Hugs...Rita

Storm & Cleaning up afterwards

Hi Ladies,

Hope your all enjoying your Sunday afternoon. We had a little excitement here yesterday, we had a lot of stormy weather here & the electricity went on & off a few times but never did go out for a long time, we were very lucky. I was still on the computer when I heard a lot of wind & then a great big bang, scared the living daylights out of me. I look out the window & saw that a big tree fell right outside of the window in the den where I was, thank God it fell away from the house. Hubby had just gone down the street to get some milk & when he came back he was surprised when I told him. We have been doing a lot of work on our house & land in the last 5 years, so we were very grateful the tree fell away from the house.

My neighbor offered himself & his father to cut up the tree, (we no longer have a power saw)& we would give him the wood to haul out of here & that was a big help to us. They are still out there chopping & cleaning & hauling the branches away to the dump in my neighbors truck. Gotta luv my neighbors. We have always been a close knit neighborhood here, there are only 8 houses on our street & we have always gotten along in our 30 years since these houses were built. There are only 2 houses that have new owners (next door where the tree fell & across from our house), all the rest are original home owners. I took some pictures for you to see.

Take care & thanks for stopping by...happy stamping all!!!

Hugs
Rita

These two pictures were taken from my neighbor's yard. The tree fell right over the property line.

Clean Up, day after the storm!
These last 3 pictures were taken from my bedroom window.

It's a big tree!

Penguin Card

Hi Ladies,

Well I heard from a lot of you telling me that I am not alone when it comes to not having Thanksgiving stamps, so that made me feel good. I think because we have so much going on for Christmas like Fall cleaning, getting ready & cooking for Thanksgiving, then jumping into gear with decorating & shopping & making cards, etc, etc, etc. I'm so tired just thinking about it already!!! But it's so much fun, don't you think? Then when it's all done, oh my, I for one get into such a low for about a month, then I have to pick myself up & get back into the groove of things again. Well I can't sleep so I figured I would do my post early or would 2:20 am be considered late? Either way here I am typing away & I'm getting a little tired all of a sudden...so here's my card for today. I had a lot of fun making this card, but then again I luv penguins so it was fun & easy. Enjoy & thanks for stopping by. We're supposed to be getting some bad stormy weather later today with high winds so I don't know if I will be on the computer later due to electric outages that is expected, but when it passes I will be back. I'm off to bed finally, have a great day.

Hugs...Rita

On to the Next Holiday

Hello Ladies,

Hope you all had a fun Halloween! Now it's on to the next holiday...Thanksgiving!!! No, I don't have a thanksgiving card for you today, I don't have any stamps for thanksgiving. :-( So, I made a Christmas card instead. I really had fun making this card, I spotted this card some where while blog surfing, (I really need to write down the blog & name of the person when I print out the picture) but don't remember who it was, so please forgive me & if you know it's yours please drop me a line & let me know so that I can put a link to your blog & give you credit for your design. I happen to have a stocking stamp & it was perfect for this card. I cut out the stockings (the stamp had 3) so that it looks like they are hanging from a mantle.
Today I promised myself while printing out tutorials that I would take the time to write down the person's name & blog site where it came from for future reference. I hope I can remember to get into that habit of writing it down, persistence pays off if its a constant. So there you have it for today's post. Thank you so much for dropping in & looking and if you have time PLEASE sign my guest book. Keep smiling ladies, lots of new stamps out there today. Talk to you tomorrow.

Hugs...Rita
