Soldier Boy

Hi everyone!

Wow did I have a great day yesterday! We went bowling with the kids, Dan & I have not been bowling for about 25 years! We all had a blast, I'm writing my post on Sunday night so I'm not really sore yet but I know we are going to pay the price & be very sore for about a week. We used muscles that we haven't used for awhile but it was worth it to spend some time with the kids & have fun & this was my idea after all. Dan & I used to bowl in a league & we were really good back then, Dan did good but I sucked. Don't forget it's been a really long time for us, of course Marc being the competitor that he is practiced twice before our bowling date so he could beat us. He didn't want mom & dad beating him!!! Well Dan ended up beating everyone & Marc came in second, Sarah beat me twice & I beat Steve & Jessica. I think we're going to do it again in a couple of months so maybe Dan & I should practice!

OK on to my card. Here is "Hero Ian" the images that Jodi sent me the other day...I love how this card turned out! He's sooooo cute!!! I made this card for Marc to send to Sarah's nephew, he's going to love it!!!! When I showed it to Sarah & Marc they both said that he is going to be thrilled to get something like that from his Hero (Marc)! Thank you so much Jodi for making this possible by sending me these images. I will make a few more of these for future cards to send to him every once in awhile. I have another soldier card that I made him that I will post tomorrow, this time it's GI Jon a Riley stamp from Hanna stamps that I bought just before I saw Jodi's card & fell in love with her Hero Ian card.

Well have a great day everyone! Talk to you again soon!

Hey Rita! Bowling! How fun. We typically go bowling weekly but my husband hurt his bowling finger. . what a wimp! LOL! Actually, I believe he secretly hates bowling because he hurt his finger 3 weeks ago and still claims that it still hurts. I'm suspicious about that.

Well, I'm glad you had fun! How did you do? I'm so-so with bowling. . I have an unintentional curve when I throw my ball but I don't have enough power so it really doesn't help much.

Love your card. . .it's a fabulous card for a soldier! Are you getting into the Greeting Farm craze? I love their images! You did a beautiful job coloring Ian and I just love the dp. . .it's perfect for the image!!
