Birthday Blog Candy!

Hi everyone!

Hope your having a fantastic weekend! I've been working on getting my stamps organized in a couple of binders, what I'm doing is indexing my stamps & sentiments so that I know what I have. I have found that when I need a sentiment I always reach for the same ones because I'm too lazy to search everywhere for what I need. My stamps are scattered everywhere & when I clean up I usually find a stamp & say "Oh I could have used that one on one of my cards I just made". Now when I need a sentiment for a birthday, thank you, celebration etc., I can look in my book under what I want & see where it is & get it! Easy peasy! So far I have only worked on all of the SU sets & should have those done by tonight. I didn't realize how many sets I had till I started doing this. I have many other stamp companies as well now so I feel that I am overwhelmed & have some that have not seen ink yet because I forgot about them. Has that happened to you? When I'm finished with indexing everything I will take a picture of the binders, I think this will make my crafting so much easier. Tell me how you keep your stamps organized so that they are much easier to find, I would love to know!

OK, on to my blog candy. Pam (thank you Pam!) donated this stamp set for me to use as blog candy & I figured I'd use it for my Birthday Blog Candy this week & I added a few more items! All you have to do is tell me how you keep track of all your stamps & how you organize them...that's it! So leave your comment here & I will pick a winner on my birthday Saturday April 11th!

Birthday Blog Candy

You will receive:

1. SU Birthday Whimsy stamp set (from last years Sale-a-bration)

2. Dew Drops

3. 8 pack note cards with stickers

4. Heart Swirls card front panels

Good luck everyone!

Wow, great blog candy Rita, please enter me in! I keep all my SU stamps in a TALL cabinet, and on the ends of them I used my label maker to put the names of the sets, so when I open the doors up I can see what is what w/o having to dig through them all. I keep my acrylic/clear stamps in a hinged tin I got from SU & labeled that as well, also a tin with my Magnolia's & Whiff of Joy ones.

Well,I'm not the best at organizing, but I keep my SU sets on shelves. One row for xmas,b'day, flowers, and as for my acrylic stamps,I have not attempted that yet. I keep them in a ziplock bag,one for each comp,WOJ and so on. If I could get a bigger room,I'd be much more organized.
Thanks for a chance at this wonderful candy! Happy B'day to you Rita!!!

Rita what a great prize, well I don't have that many stamps, but mostly my unmounted rubber ones, are on binders, and I stamp them on paper to put together, also some clear ones are on binders on page protectors and the small ones I bought page protectors for 4x6 photos and put them there, and some wood mounted on a drawer I have at my room.
And some of the unity stamps in a container at my table.

I organized mine by theme and now I'm thinking about changing it by companies now. I keep most of mine in drawers. For the unmounted and clear stamps, I'm still trying to figure out how to store them. I love your idea and can't wait to see a pic of it.
Happy Birthday to YOU!
This is some yummy celebration candy you have. Thanks for a chance.

Hi Rita! I don't have a lot of stamps so they all kind of go in a plastic bag... yup that's the extent of my collection HA! Anyways, happy early birthday! Hope it's a good one and best wishes for the year =) Keep up the amazing work!!!

My stamps aren't organized right now. I keep them all in a large Rubbermaid, with some stamps in ziplocks according to type. So NOT organaized. I keep waiting till I hear an idea that will be perfect for me.

Hi Rita,
What a great way to bring in your birthday...with candy!
I wish that I had a better system for organizing my stamps. I brought a few plastic three drawer containers for my stamps. My SU Stamps are in a couple of the drawers and so on. It isn't the best system but for now it works.
One of these days, I'm going to re-organize and label everything.
Thanks for the chance to win some fantastic candy.
hugs
Risa:)

Hello Rita!
Sorry that you are overhelmed with organazing... But at the end of this hard work it will be so much fun to work and ink some stamps that you didn't use yet!
I store some of my clear stamps in binder also. I put them in clear file(folders), made two pockets by sewing and just slit them in.
Another thing I bought (one) for storing before New Year was Gina K. storage system. I love it!
Some of the other stamps from Artful Inkables I store in the folder they come in.
So hope this will give you some ideas!
Thank you for the chance to win, Rita!

Hey Rita! I have major issues with my stamps!! I have so many of them that there's a bunch that haven't seen the light of day for close to 2 years! Argggh. Like you, if it's hidden, they don't get used. I usually use the one at the top of the pile.

Honestly, I don't have any organization. Some of my unmounted stamps are in binders (magnetic photo albums) some are in baskets, some are in containers, some stamps are in drawers, some are in the garage. Honestly, it's terrible. My biggest problem is letting go of them. I know I should some of them but I can't seem to do it even if I haven't used the stamps for years. I always feel I'm going to want to use them one day and regret it if I sold them. It's the hoarder in me!!

Thank you for offering such a fabulous blog candy. You are so sweet!!

I have them separated by manufacturer. My SU! stamps are lined up on a 6 foot shelf. My acrylic stamps like Crafty Secrets, Papertrey are in their own separate drawers. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Hi Rita! Happy coming birthday!
As for stamps organization: I have several drawers (which are not enough now, but they used to be quite suffiecient. Note to self: add more drawers)
I've categorized my stamps like so:
background stamps, floral stamps, animal stamps, Alphabet stamps, sentiments...
Hope this helps!

Thanks for giving us the chance to win!

OOOOOOOOOOH sweet, I don't have any dew drops, yet.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR RITA!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

I use to have them organized by category, i.e. birthday, flowers, sympathy, halloween, christmas, easter, but lately some are still in the boxes they were shipped in waiting to be inked up, kwim?

Then again, I keep my favorites within eyesight in the corner of the kitchen booth, which drives my dh and ds crazy with all my so called clutter.

Hugs,
Gina

My clear stamps are in a binder in computer disc sleeves or in page protectors organized by theme or occasion; my block stamp sets are on shelves in their boxes with the names of the sets showing. Odd Single stamps (like sentiments or the ones you get in the dollar bin at Michael's) are in divided bead containers with adjustable sections. My goal someday (HA HA) is to stamp them on paper or index cards and make a file or a loose leaf binder with dividers to quickly look through for ideas/inspiration, but I am not quite there yet!

Happy Stamping to all---Great Blog candy, Miss Rita!

I don't really have a system yet. My SU's are basically is a clear container and all the others are in smaller containers according to their companies. So when I'm ready to stamp I pretty much have to go looking around to see what I could use. It's really time consuming and somtimes after I'm done searching it's already pass my bedtime..LOL

I don't have enough stamps yet for there to be much of a system, so they're kinda in the unit that houses all the other mixed media stuff...they're in a cute big tin [ with cats on it of course ] labelled and on the same shelf as my stamp pads and hot glue gun.
I blogged about my 'space' this week if you'd like to come visit!
