Snowman Cards

Hello my friends!

Well today will be my last day to post till I get back from vacation, I hope to post a day or two after my return on the 31st. I'm going to miss you all, it's going to be strange not blog surfing or posting every day! I will take plenty of pictures so that I can share a few with you all. I soooo need this vacation, we haven't been to Vegas in 2 1/2 years & I don't think much has changed.

Ok, now on to my cards. I made these cards the other day after seeing Dawn's snowman video tutorial. These cards are so easy to make & lots of fun, so go on over to Dawn's Stampin Studio & start making yours! I had forgotten to put the pink cheeks on my first one but after I did I didn't like the way it came out, so I made another one & used the Blush Palette ink pad & it came out much better. Oh well it's a learning experience, right? Make a mistake learn & do better next time. Hee, hee!!! These are easy & so cute!!! I liked this one before I colored the cheeks, it didn't come out right. The second one I used Blush ink instead of pink on my dauber.



This is the second one I made...I like this one, the cheeks & mouth came out much better than the first one.

Happy Mail Today!

Giant Candy Bar Wrappers

Good afternoon everyone!

Well it's Friday & everyone is looking forward to the weekend, hope you have some fabulous plans! I only have 4 more days till Vegas, I can't wait!!! This is my last project for the 4 gift bags that I will be putting together when I get to Vegas. My sister's 75th birthday party along with 3 other family members will be celebrating their birthdays at the casino where they are all staying. Dan & I will be staying at a different casino but we will be meeting up with them for a few days while their there, (the one's who live out west will only be there for the weekend) so I want to spend as much time with them as possible & the party is Sunday. Any way these are Giant candy bars that I wrapped & I made a Frankie...isn't he so cute?!!! I got the idea for the Frankie from Dawn & just adjusted my measurements, hers is for a regular big candy bar & the other 3 I cased from Teri , I also had to adjust the measurements for this one because these are the GIANT Bars.....mmmmmmmm more chocolate for your money! Anyway I hope you enjoy it. I have a couple of snowman cards for you coming up on my next post for Sunday or Monday. Have a great weekend & thanks for sharing part of your day with me today!

1. I love shoes!!! What woman doesn’t, right ladies? My husband thinks I have too many, I just tell him…honey you should see some of the other women’s closets, they have loads more than me, so thank your lucky stars that I’m not that obsessed! That usually shuts him up & I can see the wheels turning in his head thinking maybe I’m not so bad after all, hehehe!!!

2. I love getting together with my friends & going out to eat, we usually laugh, talk & get caught up with all the news & we can get a little loud at times but who cares! We’re having a ball.

3. Watch out cause one glass of wine will get me in a talking mood, two glasses will put me to sleep if I’m home.

4. I love watching movies with the love of my life. We sit back to enjoy the movie in our living room (no distractions this way) eating popcorn & ice cream cones…ahhhhh that’s the life!!!

5. I love to travel…wish I had the money to travel for a year all across the United States, boy that would be a dream come true! My dream of going to Hawaii just might happen in 2 years (that’s our plan) if everything goes well…yippee!!! I can’t wait so that’s 1 dream down, many more to go!

6. My hubby is still the love of my life & my best friend after 36 years of marriage! He’s my ROCK!!!

7. My kids are my most valued & precious treasure in my life along with my hubby of course!

75 What a great number!

Good morning everyone!

This is what I was working on yesterday & it came out the way I pictured it in my mind! This stamp set is from Little Paper Shop, it's called "Still Hot Granny" & I love this set, it has some awesome sentiments that come with it! I couldn't decide what I like better so I picked 2 of the sentiments to put inside the card, she'll get a kick out of it! I do have to say that she doesn't look 75, hope I look as good when I get to be that age! Wow time is certainly going by fast, I can't believe it's only 1 more week before we leave for Vegas! Wow I so need this vacation & I can't wait to see my nieces & great nieces & nephews from out west...it's been a few years since I've seen them. We're more like sisters because we are so close in age, Pat is a year & half younger than me & Joyce is two & a half or 3 years younger than me & we used to hang around together all the time. Well enough of that, I will take pictures & share them with you when I get back. Well that's all for now, I need to get to bed. Card Holders

Hi everyone!

Hope your all having a great holiday weekend! Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!!! Here are a few card holders that I made over the weekend, they are so much fun to make, I've made these before to put stamped images in to give to a few friends but this time I put cards in them to give as gifts. I luv these card holders & I do have to say I luv the way they came out...nothing like tooting your own horn! These are so easy to make & they make such wonderful gifts, it's a great idea to give someone for the holidays with cards that they can use during the year!






I got this stamp for Christmas last year & this is the first time it saw ink! I luv
it & luv that sentiment too!



Icicles are made with SU crystal effects & DD, this is the first time I tried this & I will be doing allot more in the future for my winter themed cards, I luv it! Dawn has a video on how to make these, so take a look at her video & give it a try!

RAK'S I recieved this Week!

Hi Ladies & Gent!

It's such a beautiful Fall day here today & it's 67 degrees! This is the type of day I love, sunny & warm at 67! I received some awesome RAK's this week & wanted to share them with you all. The first one is from my good friend Risa aka Malieta, I was so amazed & happy when I opened her card & saw all these fantastic stamped images & her card is GORGEOUS! Thanks so much Risa, I can't wait to play with them! Go on over to her site & take a look at her beautiful work, I promise you will be amazed at her work! The next card came from a new friend, her name is Jodi (another Hawaiian girl) & she sent me this beautiful card as a thank you for introducing her to dew drops, she loves them! I love how she uses them in the middle of her flowers...I never thought of using them that way. Thanks so much Jodi I luv it!!! I am making so many friends in Hawaii, so when I get to go there we are going to have to meet & have a big party, right girls??? I'm going in 2010 if all goes well! I can't wait!!!

Diaper Cake

Hi everyone,

Hope your all having a wonderful day today. I just finished making this diaper cake for my son's girlfriend Sarah to give to her friend. Hi Sarah! She is on her way here from work to pick it up. I hope she is going to be happy with this one, I love the way it came out! I still didn't get diapers that were all white...where are those anyway? There is no picture on the packages & it doesn't say it has a print either. Oh well at least it's yellow & green, so I can work with that! I'm buying the cheap ones so maybe that's why, I really don't know...I'm out of touch when it comes to this baby stuff. Well that's it for today, have a great evening & I'll be back tomorrow. Water Bottles

Hi people!

Hope your having a good day! This is short & sweet, I need to go work on another diaper cake today, I went shopping yesterday to buy all the things I needed for it so now it's time to get to work, I want to be able to give it to Sarah this weekend.

Post-it Note Holders

Good afternoon everyone!

It was cold here this morning, I had to turn on the heat yesterday! Right now it's 62 degrees, nice & crisp fresh air, I luv it like this, it just feels great to me. I guess I'll have to bring out the winter cloths soon...as much as I luv the Fall with Mother Natures burst of color show, I hate the thought of Winter & snow. Don't get me wrong I luv to see the snow falling, it looks so beautiful (another wonderful & amazing show of Mother Nature) but I hate those cold temperatures & the rising cost of oil to heat our homes. Well enough of complaining & on to the reason that you stopped by today.

Here are a few post-it note holders that I made the other day. I love making these don't you? There are so many different ways to design these & for any occasion, they make quick little gifts & are easy to make. Well I need to get ready to go out, I need to buy some stuff to make another diaper cake for Sarah (my son's girlfriend) to give to a friend of hers. Hi Sarah! Candy Holders

Hi everyone!

So sorry that I haven't posted in a week, I know I've been a bad blogger, but I've been so busy making things for my Vegas Trip & going out with Dan. I've tried to keep up with all of the blogs that I read every day. I don't think I'll ever catch up with all of you for awhile, but don't worry I will get to read yours & comment on them soon. I luv blog hopping, your all so very talented!

I think I will be starting on my Fall cleaning this week...or maybe not, hehehe!!! I just might wait till I get back from Vegas, we'll see!

Any way, I made some candy holders the other day & I luv these! They are so easy to make & are so darn cute! The purse candy holders idea I got from Angie's video tutorial so if you want to make one click here. The Frankenstein candy holder I got the measurements from Dawn's Santa candy holder video but I made mine Frankenstein instead. Click here to see Dawn's tutorial. I bought those small candy bar packages for these, you know their the bite size...well maybe 2 bites but if you have a big mouth like me you can stuff the whole thing in your mouth, ymmmmmmm!
