Elmo & Cookie Monster

Good mornin' Peeps!

Hi everyone, I hope your all doing well & enjoying your weekend. Marc & Sarah are taking us out to brunch tomorrow morning & then Dan & I will be on our way to a 2 day break away from outdoor & indoor chores. Yes, I'm still doing spring & summer cleaning & only have 7 more windows to do. I hope to do 2 more today. I don't know what happened this year but I'm really behind on cleaning. We went away for 2 weeks in April & then when I got back I got really lazy & needed a fire to get me going...well that fire finally happened last week & I'm really sore but it's getting done & I am taking my time.

Well on to my cards, that's what your here for right? I saw these cute cards on... who else but Dawn's blog & knew I needed to make these for my kids card stash. They were so easy to make, check out her blog & video to see how to make these. I think I'm going to try some other Sesame characters when I have time after I clean my craft room. I will be absent for a little while off & on while I finish cleaning. I hope to at least clean off my table a little so that I can still create while getting my craft room organized. I bought some of those cubes at Michael's that I need to put together & stack up. I hope to buy more as I go along & figure out what I need & how I want it to look. One day I will get that room looking the way I want it & also make it pretty. One step at a time right?

Thanks so much for taking a little time to visit my blog, you know how much I appreciate you all. Have a great weekend!

Sarah's 30th Birthday!

Good morning peeps!

Warning...this is a really long post today. We celebrated my daughter-in-law Sarah's 30th birthday with a Clam boil & BBQ at her brother's house on Saturday. It was supposed to be a surprise party but in Marc's haste one day (a few days before the party) he left something on his desk in their home office & she saw it...so surprise was off, oh well.

Slide show of Sarah's birthday BBQ at her brother's house.

Sarah is a fantastic golfer & I bought this Bella stamp with her in mind & the sentiment fit her to a tee (pun intended)!

another view of the basket...I luv the colors!

Sarah has been wanting my Starbucks mug for awhile & I wouldn't give it up. She likes it because she said it fits her hands just right & it's hard to find a mug like that...so watch out if it turns up missing someday, hehehe!!! So I figured I better find her one & wow I found it at a Starbucks on the way back to Vegas from San Diego while we were on vacation in April & bought it right away for Sarah...now she won't take mine!

I made a daisy flower with leaves for this basket top. click here for tutorial

This was the first picnic basket I made & it ended up being too small - so this one will be used for a future gift. So I went back to my printer & printed up a larger scale basket to fit the cup...I forgot to fill the whole page with the template settings on my printer.

Flower was made using the SU Flower Daisies #2 die & stamping CS with a script background stamp click here to see the video tutorial on how to make these.

Hope you enjoyed today's post! Have a great day everyone!!!

Come on....lets go for a Ride!!!

Hi everyone!

This is another short post, I have a very busy day today that is starting very early & we have to leave the house no later than 10:15 am. I will explain on Monday...it's a surprise but I think she knows about it.

Here is Father's Day card #6...hope you like it. My inspiration came from Kristina, click on her name to see her card & all her other wonderful cards. What I like about her cards is that they are simple yet cute! I think you will like her & she has videos on how to create her cards. This was a fun card to make & I made this one for Sarah to give to her dad. He not only golfs but he also likes to ride his bike in the summer so it's easy to create something for him.

Well tomorrow is the day I am finally posting my creation for Dan, so make sure you come back then. Have a great Saturday!

Dear Father

Hi everyone!

Well I finally got to take pictures of my special project & will share that with you tomorrow or I will pre-post for Saturday. I won't be around Saturday till later in the evening...I will explain about that on Monday.

Anyway, here is Father's Day card #4. You can get the tutorial & supply list from Dawn's site, click here. This is my first attempt at this technique & the first sunset did not come out right so I had to chuck it & start again.

We had a special guest in our yard yesterday, Dan came downstairs after taking a shower all excited because there was a deer in the back yard that he could see from the upstairs window. Such a beautiful & gentle animal. I got so excited myself & had to get my camera. I didn't want to scare it off so I took the first picture through the kitchen window then the other 2 pictures I opened the door very softly as to not scare it & she looked right at me...she could see us looking at her & then she took off into the woods. Sorry the pictures did not come out so good but didn't have a chance to get more plus I was inside trying to take a picture of it outside. That's the one thing I love about living in the country, you get to see all these animals. The other side to that is the bugs...which I hate!

That's it for today...have a good one!

Cheers to you!!!

Hi peeps!

Well it was finally a gorgeous day yesterday so Dan & I decided to take off for the day & we didn't get back till later in the evening so I didn't get a chance to take pictures yesterday but don't worry I still have some father's day card pictures that I took before the weather got cloudy. Maybe today with the sun going in & out I can get some pics of my awesome project!

Here is card #3 for Father's day & I love how this came out...it's so darn cute! This is not my idea I saw this on Heather Summer's blog, go on over there she has a tutorial on how to make it. When I saw this one I knew I had to make it for my son-in-law Steve to give to his step dad, he's a beer drinker & this was perfect for him! While I was at it I figured I would make a few for birthday cards for the kids guy friends for their birthdays, another style card for their card stash. I'm trying to build up their stash as well as mine.

Well the sun is out right now so I'm off to see if I can get some pictures. See you all tomorrow. Have a great day!

Hamburger anyone?

Hello peeps!

Today is Tuesday, so here's Father's Day card #2 for this week, enjoy! I saw Dawn's video last week on this card & got my inspiration from her for my card. Thanks again Dawn! I luv how this came out but it's not the item that I raved about yesterday, I need to take a picture of it before I can post it so maybe I will save that one for Friday's post, we'll see. It's been cloudy, dark & rainy all week here & I haven't been able to take pictures, the sun peeked once or twice & by the time I ran for my camera the sun was gone. :o( Hang in there as soon as I can take a picture & edit it I will post it, I love it soooo much...it's so darn cute & I can't wait to show it to you all!!!

Have a great day everyone & hopefully the sun will come out today (so they say, then rain again)...we NEED the SUN!!! Take care!

We're ready for a cook out...are you ready to see what's inside?

Best Dad Medallion

Happy Monday Peeps!

Since Father's Day is this Sunday I thought I would dedicate this weeks posts to Father's day cards & wait till you see what I made for Dan as my card & project to go along with my gift for him. I love how it came out. Here is a card I made for Jessica to give to her Dad for Father's Day. I saw this on Tami Hartley's blog & knew Jessica would love this one. Click on Tami's name to see her tutorial. I need to make a few more dad cards so the kids will have some for next year, might as well make them now while I'm making this years cards, right? I came across some stamps that I had that fit the dads in their life to a tee! I had bought those stamps with them in mind.

Well thanks for popping by & I hope you have a great day!

Baby Projects

Hi Peeps!

Here are some pictures of the tags I made for Sarah & Troy's (Jessica's best friends) baby shower this past weekend. Jessica & Carolyn (Sarah's mom) made the chocolate lollipops & tied the tags to the pops. They did a fantastic job! The shower was a Jack & Jill BBQ affair & we had a blast! Everything turned out so well...at least it didn't rain for the event. It did rain in the morning though but thankfully not during the shower.

I had a tin sitting in my draw for years & thought what a great box for the baby hat I bought, all I have to do is alter the tin & it would be good to go...I love how it turned out! I put the tin in a large gift bag with the other gifts I had bought & tied a onesie card & some decorative rattles to the bag & I was good to go. I found a great monkey bag to go along with the baby's theme of animals, especially monkeys, lots of monkeys for this baby...so cute! I also added a picture of mom & dad all decked out for a party...too cute!

Well have a great weekend everyone, I'll be back on Monday! Ta, ta for now!!!

There was a baby diaper pin lollipop too but Dan ate that one as soon as we walked in the house after the shower & before I got to take a picture, that one was vanilla chocolate...oh well, you'll have to just picture it in your minds, hahaha!!!
