Sympathy Card

Hi ladies,

Well Jessica & I had a very busy day Thursday & didn't get home till 8 pm. We had a bad time with her veil yet again, but this time my daughter was so upset she ended up crying, poor thing, I felt so bad for her. She bought her veil at David's Bridal, she loves this veil. It's a mantilla with lots of lace, pearls on the lace, not cheap either. Well anyway her dress is ivory so she got the ivory, when we went to look at her dress & she put it on it ended up being too dark it didn't match, so we went to the store & exchanged it for the white one (no other choice & her dress is light ivory). So when she went for the fitting Thursday this veil was too white, she didn't want to give it up cause she just loves this veil, so the saleslady at the store where she bought her dress told her they had a mantilla that's not as fancy & they could make it almost like hers but minus the beads. So before ordering this we needed to find out if we could get our money back. I called David's Bridal & no refunds all sales are final, they did come out with a new color called "Light Ivory" great that one should match but its NEW won't arrive for 12 weeks, her wedding is in 6 weeks...ugh!!! Nothing they can do so come in & try other veils, I told Jessica lets go back to the store, another 35 minutes away (we were there in the morning getting my shoes) & see what we can do & she just lost it & cried! Anyway we went back there & the lady that we first had that helped us at the very beginning when we were looking for gowns helped us out. She went into the computer & looked all over to see if we could maybe track one. GUESS What? She found one in the WHOLE ENTIRE COUNTRY in Burbank California! Now she called to see if they would part with it, since it is the newest color that was the only one in any store & yes they were going to help us out & ship it to Massachusetts for Jessica! Thank God for Patti the sales woman that we had who is one terrific compassionate woman!!! So the veil is on its way & we should have it next week. Jessica's stressful day turned out well after all. My poor daughter ended up with a headache after all this, like she said, she did everything early so that she didn't have to stress about anything but 6 weeks before the wedding this had to happen. It all turned out great, so keep your fingers crossed, this one should match cause its in between the two shades we already tried. Like Jessica said no matter what she is using this one she doesn't care what it looks like! So sorry that I went on so much & burned your ear off, I just had to let you know what our day was like!

Okay, now onto my card. I needed a sympathy card last week & came up with this design, I like the way it turned out. So until tomorrow or Monday take care & enjoy the weekend! Thanks for stopping by today & listening to my ramblings!

Hi everyone,

It's a beautiful day here, the sun is out & its not too hot, its just right, now that's my kinda weather! Hope your having a great day & spending some of it outside, as for me I'm going to go upstairs after this post & finish cleaning my room & the bathroom upstairs today. Then maybe, just maybe if I'm not too tired I will wash the windows in Jessica's old bedroom. Well enough of that & on to my card.

I made this card for Danielle (one of the bridesmaids) she found out a few weeks ago that she is pregnant...how wonderful is that? I was so excited for her & wanted to make a card to send to her, I knew she would appreciate it. She loved it!!! Congrats to both you & Andy! I was really happy the way this card turned out, so enjoy. I'm also posting a card that my friends daughter made for Jessica's shower. Sandi needed a shower card & asked her daughter to make one for her & it is gorgeous, so I thought I would share it with you. Have a great day & thanks for visiting today, I really enjoy your company! Come again!

Shower Centerpiece & 2 Cards

Hi everyone!

Well a quick post to show you the rest of the shower projects & the 2 shower cards that I made for Jessica's bridal shower. I will have another shower card that someones daughter made for Jessica's shower, it was a beautiful design on the same gated card design that I made for the invitation but with a nice twist to it! So after I post that card tomorrow that will be the end of the shower posts & we will be back to regular cards. I still have lots to do for the wedding so I won't be posting everyday. I promise we will get back to normal once the wedding is over. Thanks for stopping by today & have a great evening.

This is the centerpiece that I made for the gift table & I'll tell you it looked lost on that big table. It was filled with pink & silver wrapped dove & Nestles chocolate hearts & it spells out her name "Jessica". I love how it came out!

This is a flap card that I made for the gift that we brought to the shower & had my niece's name on the envelope. Remember she thought she was going to her cousin's bridal shower & the gift was really for her. Inside this gift was the Bride sweatshirt jacket & 2 tank tops that say Bride in hot pink & the other one says Just married in black, they both have the words in rhinestones

The inside of the card I put a poem to my daughter that I found on the Internet

Made this card to match the Shower invitation, but the fold is a little different, instead of a gated card the fold is off to the left side

Sky Diving Pictures

Hi everyone!

Hope your having a fabulous weekend! We had a ball yesterday at the Newport airport, everyone was raring to go sky diving & they had a blast!!! This was Jessica's wedding gift to Steve & Marc bought them the video, they will get that in about a week. Marc & Sarah each got a video too & we're all going to Marc's house to watch them when they all get their videos. They all want to do it again & make it a yearly thing...can you believe it? I think their all out of their minds. But that's the dare devil & youth talking, I could never do what they did & I truly admire them for doing it, especially the girls. They were scared but were willing to do it for their man...gotta admire that! It was sunny but cloudy. Jessica & Steve were the first ones up & when they came down & told everyone how awesome it was well I think it put everyone else at ease. Nikki & Brian (bridesmaid & best man) were next up & were amazed at how much they enjoyed it. Then Marc (my son) & Sarah (girlfriend) were last. We waited & waited & waited but alas the guy came out & told us they were not jumping this time because the clouds closed up & there was no opening for them jump. So they landed & we waited for the clouds to clear up a little. We waited about an hour before they went up again & finally got to jump, they had a blast & loved the scenery coming down. Oh did I tell you that they free fall for 10 seconds at 140 miles per hour...that's some drop, to me that's just too scary! 10 Seconds is a long time but they loved the rush! So I guess we will be doing this again next year! Enjoy the slide show & thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

Mailboxes

TGIF everyone!

Well the long weekend is upon us, the official start of summer, yippee!!! Lots of BB Q's & family outings! What are your plans for the weekend, anything exciting? I think I've decided to go see my kids sky dive tomorrow...I might need a drink after or maybe before or maybe none or maybe one very STRONG one, hehehe!!! What do you think? I'm so excited that the the summer is starting up this weekend, I can't believe how fast the months went by this year. Well enough of that, on to my mailbox & pail projects.

Here are the mailboxes & pails that I made for prizes when we played bridal bingo! Everything that you saw in the yesterdays pictures was to fit inside these cute little mailboxes & pails. Sometime this weekend or beginning of next week I will have the table centerpiece that I made & 2 shower cards (I need to get the card that I forgot to take a picture of back from Jessica so I can take a picture & post it) & that will be the end of all the shower projects. Now it's on to Wedding projects that I need to get done! So have a great holiday weekend & drive carefully if you go anywhere! Thanks for stopping by today, I love your company!

It was hard getting a picture of all the mailboxes, so I also took some pictures of them 3 at a time so that I could show you how pretty they came out! I love making these & intend on making more to give as gifts!

This is what went into the mailboxes!

This is what the pails looked like after I filled them!

Mailboxes & pails all done & ready to go!

Goodies to put inside Mailboxes

Happy Thursday everyone!

It's still cloudy & rainy here, has been all week. Hope that means it will be nice this weekend. My kids are going sky diving Saturday...not too thrilled about that, I don't even want to go see them do it, I can't watch I'll be a nervous wreck! This was Jessica's wedding gift to Steve, he's always wanted to do this so my son & his girlfriend, Jessica, Niki & the best man are all going to do this! Sarah & her husband Troy are the smart ones, they're going to watch & take pictures. A friend of mine did it & a girl from work did too & we all watched from outside our building at work in Newport, RI. They loved it!!! The small airport where they have this is close by & yet still far enough away to see them. I might go, but if not I already told them to call me after its all done.

Well enough of that. Here is what I have for you today, all the stuff that I made to put into the mailboxes & pails for the bingo prizes. Tomorrow I will post the mailboxes & pails. Have a great day & send me some sunshine PLEASE!!! Thanks for stopping by today.

Post it note holders with pens & a few were made without pens

Candy kisses holder. I loved making these & the polka dots were created by using the eraser tip of a pencil with SU white craft ink

Pillow boxes filled with M&M's & Jessica's favorite color

Each mailbox & pail had 6 3x3 cards wrapped with ribbon. I made them for people to use on baby gifts or bridal shower gifts or any type of gift.

Shower Favors and Bingo Cards

Good afternoon ladies!

Well today I'm going to post the shower favors & bingo cards. We were going to do something different at first, we bought the supplies & then we changed our minds. I was in Target about 2 days after we bought the stuff for the favors & came across some bridal boxes in the wedding section at Target & thought hummmmm, this would be great for the favors instead of what we had already, but decided not to say anything because we had already decided on the favors. That night Sarah called me from Target & she saw something she liked & I told her to look at the boxes that I saw that day & described it to her & she felt that those would be better than what we had & I totally agreed & then she said we could put tea bags & mints in them, so she bought them & returned the other stuff that we bought at AC Moore. That was so funny that we had thought the same thing that day! Sarah also wanted to put something on the back, like "The perfect blend", "Love's a brewin'" & "Love is sweet", keeping with the Tea theme we had going on, that's where I came in & thought of my spellbinder's heart dies & it worked out well. So here are the pictures of the favors, let me know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by & visiting with me today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Sarah got Mint Tea to go along with the Andy's Mint Chocolates! That was a great idea!!!

These are the Bingo cards. Sarah was in charge of the bingo cards & we decided to put BRIDE up top instead of Bingo for obvious reasons. She mixed the gifts up every 5 cards or so, so that we wouldn't have a lot of bingo's at once. She did an AWESOME job with these! You did great Sarah! We make a good team!

Bridal Shower Pictures

Updated at 11:38 pm

Happy Monday Ladies!

Well everything went well with the shower & everyone had fun. We really put one over on Jessica, she didn't have a clue. When she thought she had it figured out we threw her a curve, but she was always asking questions hoping one of us would slip up. Last Monday I asked her to go out to eat on June first with us & her brother & then Steve slipped & told her that her shower was June first, she got so mad at him for telling her that she slept on the couch that night. Steve told me he could take her being mad at him because when Sunday rolls around she was going to be soooo sorry that she yelled & got mad at him. We went shopping Thursday & she bought a dress for the shower & said that she was going to wear it every Sunday till her shower but didn't have to wear it this Sunday cause she didn't think it was this week, there she goes searching again! I just told her to do whatever. When she walked into my house Sunday wearing a different dress I knew she didn't haven't have a clue. Hehehe!!!

So here's how I set everything up. I told her at Christmas time that my great niece Misty was getting married 2 weeks before her. I set up two bridal registries at two different stores in my niece's name & made up a name for the groom (my great niece is not getting married & we haven't seen her in years, she's a few years younger than Jessica)I sent Jessica & myself a bridal invitation (I wanted to leave it on the table for her to see whenever she came over). To make a long story short she kind of thought that it was for her but after all the questions she was asking me & me coming up with good answers for her she figured no that's not the day of my shower! I really tried to have a couple of hints to indicate & lead her to believe that her shower was June 1st & I can't believe it all worked & we all pulled it off!

So I'm waiting for one more person to give me the pictures that she took Sunday 'cause she got all the good pictures for me. She's so good at taking pictures, thank you so much Tammi! I'll post a few pictures today & when I get Tammi's pictures I'll post those. The rest of the week I will post pictures of all the stuff that I made for the shower. So enjoy & thanks for stopping by today!

I had a few people ask me to post a picture of me when I was young because they wanted to see how much my daughter looks like me when I was younger. Oh my I look so young & naive. So don't laugh! Hehehe!!! It's amazing how much we change as we get older, I look at myself in the mirror & wonder who is that person staring back at me, surely that can't be me! Do you do that too? Enjoy the laugh ladies & gentlemen 'cause I don't do this for everyone!

I was 21 years old in this picture
