Well Jessica & I had a very busy day Thursday & didn't get home till 8 pm. We had a bad time with her veil yet again, but this time my daughter was so upset she ended up crying, poor thing, I felt so bad for her. She bought her veil at David's Bridal, she loves this veil. It's a mantilla with lots of lace, pearls on the lace, not cheap either. Well anyway her dress is ivory so she got the ivory, when we went to look at her dress & she put it on it ended up being too dark it didn't match, so we went to the store & exchanged it for the white one (no other choice & her dress is light ivory). So when she went for the fitting Thursday this veil was too white, she didn't want to give it up cause she just loves this veil, so the saleslady at the store where she bought her dress told her they had a mantilla that's not as fancy & they could make it almost like hers but minus the beads. So before ordering this we needed to find out if we could get our money back. I called David's Bridal & no refunds all sales are final, they did come out with a new color called "Light Ivory" great that one should match but its NEW won't arrive for 12 weeks, her wedding is in 6 weeks...ugh!!! Nothing they can do so come in & try other veils, I told Jessica lets go back to the store, another 35 minutes away (we were there in the morning getting my shoes) & see what we can do & she just lost it & cried! Anyway we went back there & the lady that we first had that helped us at the very beginning when we were looking for gowns helped us out. She went into the computer & looked all over to see if we could maybe track one. GUESS What? She found one in the WHOLE ENTIRE COUNTRY in Burbank California! Now she called to see if they would part with it, since it is the newest color that was the only one in any store & yes they were going to help us out & ship it to Massachusetts for Jessica! Thank God for Patti the sales woman that we had who is one terrific compassionate woman!!! So the veil is on its way & we should have it next week. Jessica's stressful day turned out well after all. My poor daughter ended up with a headache after all this, like she said, she did everything early so that she didn't have to stress about anything but 6 weeks before the wedding this had to happen. It all turned out great, so keep your fingers crossed, this one should match cause its in between the two shades we already tried. Like Jessica said no matter what she is using this one she doesn't care what it looks like! So sorry that I went on so much & burned your ear off, I just had to let you know what our day was like!
Okay, now onto my card. I needed a sympathy card last week & came up with this design, I like the way it turned out. So until tomorrow or Monday take care & enjoy the weekend! Thanks for stopping by today & listening to my ramblings!

Oh, Rita. . .I'm sorry to hear that your daughter was so upset about her veil. I would cry too! I'm glad that there was a replacement in the same shade as her dress! That salesperson deserves a reward! LOL!
