I'm Still Here
Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a great Christmas! I've been spending time with hubby & my family just chillin' & relaxing. No new cards till after New Year. I'm trying to reorganize my craft room, I bought a plastic 2 drawer file cabinet & lots & lots of hanging folders to store all the colors that SU offers in cardstock. I still have some colors to buy. Then I can stock up on the colors that I use more often. I got a lot of stamping & craft stuff from hubby & some great gifts from the kids! Hubby got me a Coach bag (I've been wanting a real Coach purse for a long time), we got a GPS for the car, a new DVD player, Coach Wallet, earrings for my dress for the wedding, jeans, Khaki's for hubby, slippers, etc. We had a great time!
So I will be back after the first of the year. Thanks for stopping by today & I wish you all good health, & a truely good NEW YEAR for 2008!
Hugs...Rita

More Mail
Well I hope everyone is ready for Christmas! I finally got everything done that I had to, & now I can relax & enjoy! I want to thank all of you who visit my blog, I luv doing this each day. I have made so many wonderful friendships through this blog, you have encouraged & inspired me to try things that I would never have attempted before. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
Here are a few more cards that I received.

This card came from Malieta, what a beautiful card, I luv the sparkle, thank you Malieta.

This is the inside of the card.

This card I received from Jana a while back. For some reason it got lost in a pile of papers on my desk & I forgot to post it, I am soooo sorry Jana that I didn't get to post it till now. Jana's card was one of the first cards that I received. Well better late than never, right Jana?
I luv it, thank you so much my friend!
Below is my son's album that I finally finished today & in the nick of time too!!! It's one of his Christmas gifts. He remodeled his condo himself, he gutted the whole thing & completely re-designed it, & this coming from someone who had never done anything like this before. He gets it from his grandfather (my dad & he would have been proud) they both were & are self taught men. Marc got a lot of info from the people at Home Depot & bought a lot of tools & taking after his mom, if it wasn't right he would take it apart & do it over 'cause it had to be perfect...that's my boy!!! We are so proud of him for taking on something like this, I know we couldn't do it. He did a fantastic job!
Well the only thing I have left to do is dust & vacuum, (tomorrow) then I can relax for a few days & enjoy the Holidays & my family. So until after Christmas take care & have a great Holiday!
Hugs...Rita

Mail Girl Gift
Hi everyone!
Well here is my last project for the Christmas season. I made a few things for my mail girl & put them in a gift bag & will deliver this to her tomorrow morning when she drops off my mail. This was an easy one...wish they were all this easy, it would have made life a little less stressful, but where would the fun be if they were all simple! The reason we stamp is to have fun & give ourselves a challenge, right?
I got my Gina K. Design stamps today & my Bella stamps finally arrived yesterday, Yippee!!! I can't play with them till after Christmas 'cause their a gift from hubby, so watch out...I will be making some winter cards after the holidays, I can't wait! I just went absolutely nuts ordering stuff for hubby to give me, hehehe, it sure was a lot of fun!!! Well till tomorrow ladies. Thanks for stopping by, & have a great evening!
Hugs...Rita

I picked up these Martha Stewart note cards from Michael's for a dollar awhile back to use as last minute gifts (for any occasion). I used 1 set for the mail girl, pretty cool ha! I ended up buying about 6 sets & I'm glad I did, 'cause they are coming in handy. I just stamped a flower & the "Just a note", also stamped the flower on the envelope, wrapped it with ribbon & I was done. I cased this idea from Lauren Meader, you really need to go over to visit her blog, she is one crafty lady. She is such a terrific & amazing woman.

I got 2 of these pocket folders with my receipts inside them from a shoe company online & decided to keep them & make a card out of it. The results are below. Pretty cool don't ya think?

This card went to our mail girl.
Card Details
Ink: Basic Black, River Rock, Real Red & Craft ink WW
Tab punch
Stamps are all from Michael's & AC Moore
CS: WW & Real Red
Stickles glitter

Inside the pull tab card

Hope she likes it!
This is a little spice jar that I altered & added M&M's

I made this cute little tag with a sticker from Michael's
Everything is in the bag & ready to go!

Hanna Christmas Cards
Good morning everyone!
It's 1:15 am & I decided not to go to bed because I have to get up at 2 am anyway to shower & get ready to go to New York to The View again. This will be our last time going...I think we have seen it enough times now. Whenever I have to get up that early, I have a hard time sleeping so why bother, I can sleep when I get back. We will be leaving at 4 am, most of you will be fast asleep. I hope the roads will be fine for traveling, we will just take our time. We had lots of snow last night & this morning before it turned over to rain so now its icing up. My neighbor plowed our driveway this morning (God Bless him), we are so lucky to have such great neighbors here, we all do for one another. I'll have to see if I can whip something up for him as a thank you we really appreciate your kindness. Hmmmm, will have to think of something great, any ideas ladies?
Here are 3 cards that I made today. I was on a Hanna kick, I think the snow inspires me to create cards, or maybe it's because its crunch time & I really need to get these cards out in the mail ASAP. Whatever it is I'm getting there. I had fun today making these cards. Enjoy & thanks for stopping by. I will talk to you when I get back tomorrow night or if I'm too tired it will be on Wednesday. Take care ladies.
Hugs...Rita

More Christmas Cards
Hi all!
Well as promised here are the rest of the cards that I made the other day. I needed to make these cards a little simple & easy so that I could make a bunch of them to mail out. I used the same supplies as I posted yesterday with the exception of the forest tree paper for the snowman card. Now I need to go out to look for some boots & when I get home I need to make more Christmas cards. A few more & then I'm done. I just went outside to get my mail & just remembered my mail girl, so I need to whip something up to give to her, I do have an idea though, so it should be a quick one to do. I think I see the light at the end of this Christmas tunnel - which means that I'm almost done with everything. Should be done by next weekend...I think! Thanks for stopping by & happy stamping.
Hugs...Rita

The paper that I used for this card is Provo Craft "Once Upon a Forest"
I"m real happy with the way this card turned out.

I think this card is one of my favorites because it was so easy to make.

I love these sparkling penguins!

Gate Card
Hi all!
Boy, It's snowing like crazy here! Mother Nature can be so brutal at times but she can also be sooooo beautiful! To me snow is like glitter falling from the sky & settling on the ground to make everything sparkle! It absolutely takes my breath away! What do you think of when you see snow falling?
Here is a card I made awhile back & forgot to post, it's a small square gated card. Since I can't do the windows today, I'm going to go upstairs & make some Christmas cards that I really need to make & send out soon. So have a great day everyone & keep warm & if you have to drive in this snow PLEASE be careful. Thanks for stopping by today & hopefully I will have some cards to post tomorrow.
Hugs...Rita

Altered Bottle Pack
Good morning Ladies!!!
I thought I would post early today so that I can get going on my cleaning or going out haven't decided yet. Hehehe!!! I want to go get a pair of boots I saw the other day but they didn't have my size at that store, so I need to stop by every Macy's in the area in search of my size, yeah right...good luck to me! I'm going to give it a good try though. Wish me luck!!! Or I may stay home today & clean, not sure if I'm in the mood to do that today. Oh well!
Here is the last project that I worked on for a Christmas gift. This was going around the blogs during Halloween & I thought I would make one for Christmas. I had a lot of fun altering these bottles & the carton. This actually makes a good gift for any time of the year, just add a Starbucks gift certificate (like I'm doing) & your good to go. Have a great day & thanks for stopping by.
Hugs...Rita

Another Christmas Tree!
Hi everyone!
WOW! What a busy day we had yesterday. First we had our pancake breakfast (new tradition) with Jessica & Steve (daughter & Fiancee) then we put up the tree & village. Whew!!! That was alot of work...Thank you Jessica & Steve. My back was hurting a lot yesterday by the time we were done...but feeling much better today, so I didn't strain it that badly. Thank God! Then we went to Mohegan Sun (Indian Casino in Connecticut, 1 hour away from home) to see Clay Aiken's Christmas show. What a great show he put on, I luv the way he sings...such a great voice! So we had a full day yesterday & had lots of fun! I'll post some pictures later or tomorrow of us putting up decorations.
Here is the second tree that I made & kept the turquoise color on the pot, I liked the way it looked with the paper that I choose for it. Jessica took that tree home yesterday. She is using that tree for her Christmas tree because she is moving to another apartment in Feb. & she doesn't want to go get her decorations from Steve's mom's house then pack it up again & bring back, too much work. So this tree is perfect for now.
I will have 1 more project for you to see tomorrow. Now I really need to get to work making a few more Christmas cards & gift card holders, & gifts to wrap...then I'm done! I still have 2 more rooms to clean & 3 more windows, can't wait to relax again! There's no end, but I have to tell you I fell less stressed this year than any other year. How are all of you doing?
Well have a great Monday, talk to you soon & thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs...Rita

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!
Hi all!
Had to take hubby for his colonoscopy (spelling?) this morning, passed it with flying colors (no pun intended hehehe!!!) Came home & went to work on my tree, I already had all the paper cut, pot & dowel painted, all I had to do today was put it together. I enjoyed doing this tree, it was so simple & fun to make & I love the way it came out. This is a gift & (no they won't see it, they don't look at my blog) I need to make one more, I decided to paint the other pot turquoise to match some of that color in the figgy pudding paper I picked out. If I don't like it I can always paint it a Christmas color, right? So stayed tuned to find out what I do. I got the tutorial for the Paper Tree at SCS, click Hereto get the tutorial on this tree.
For the Pinecone Ball you can click Here. Amanda Sewell of Inkspirations is the one giving this tutorial, she has a fantastic blog, go check it out.
I will talk to you tomorrow I hope. I have to go to my hair stylist (my daughter)tomorrow to get my hair done & then hopefully come home & clean downstairs before settling in to watch a little TV. Boy I don't get to watch much TV anymore now that I'm at the computer & crafting all the time. I will however stop what I'm doing for my favorite TV programs, which aren't many now. Well thanks for stopping by today. Happy stamping!!!

Wow! This RAK is from Laura Leonard she got my name for the Nov. JT's Aloha Monthly RAK Club. This is awesome Laura, thank you so much! The card she made is so pretty, it looks so vintage, great job Laura & that snowflake tin is fantastic, I'm going to use it to put my scissors & other small items in & keep it on my desk. Take a look at Laura's blog she has some great creations. Thank you so much Laura.

This is a Pay it Forward RAK from Deb, thank you so much Deb for all these wonderful goodies, your spoiling me girl!!! I luv them all, especially the scalloped circles because I don't have these punches or the oval punches & this will come in handy for some cards that I want to make. Good morning everyone!
A quick post today so that I can get back to work cleaning my house, I have 4 more rooms to do, yippee!!!! Can't wait till I'm done, so I can decorate my house & start making some gifts & a few Christmas cards.
Well here is a card that I made for Jen's sister, Nasha and her friend Liz are celebrating 5 years in business together. I Received a Bella Card!!!
Hi ladies!
I received some great mail the other day, my very good friend Malieta sent me my first Bella card! She knows how much I luv, luv, luv Bella, she's such a beauty, isn't she? You made my day Malieta, I luv it!!! Thank you soooooo much!
I just bought a Bella & I need to ink that baby up real soon. Jen sent me some Bella images a few months ago & I made my first Bella card a couple of weeks ago & I was so thrilled that I just had to buy one right away & I did. Hehehe!!! I'm waiting for my acrylic blocks to arrive before I can ink it up, I found the tack it over & over the other day while shopping at Michael's, so when I got home I put that on the stamps & let it dry, so all I need now are the blocks to get going & I'm waiting patiently!!!
Well have you seen my counter? I'm almost at 5000...so expect some blog candy real soon! I'll try & get a picture of the candy up maybe tomorrow or the next day, so look out for it ladies. Take care, will talk to you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Card for Hubby
Hi ladies!
Here's a card that I made last night for hubby's birthday today...nothing like cutting it close. I was so afraid that the stickles were not going to dry so I could cut the image out, so I helped it along by using my heat gun (usually I just let it air dry over night) & still letting it dry for a few hours then cutting it out before I went to bed last night. Whew! It came out good. I had made another card too that I wanted to try, but it's a good thing I had made two birthday cards 'cause the other one bombed :( I tried to versamark on black cs then put dazzling diamonds on it, it looked beautiful & I really don't know what to do with DD so I used the heat gun too. I didn't touch it for awhile but when I ran my finger over the DD it all came off. OMG! What did I do wrong? It was my first attempt at using DD & I so like the way it looked & don't know what I did wrong. Dawn is the DD queen, she makes some beautiful cards using DD. Help me out Dawn PLEASE!!! Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Well anyway here is the card that I gave to hubby. It looks so much better in real life, it sparkles so much. Take care & thanks for stopping by.
Hugs...Rita

Card Details
CS: Choc. chip, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky & Creamy Caramel
Stamps: Make a Wish, Corner is from Totally Cool, & swirls are a $ acrylic stamp set from Michael's
Ink: Cool Caribbean, Basic Black & Le Plume markers
Ribbon from Michael's
Golden Rod & Icicle stickles
CM custom cutting system circles
CB embossing circles that I sanded to age it & make it pop

Here's a close up of the sparkles, this card really shines & the candles sure do look like they are on fire!

Hanna Christmas Card
Hi ladies!
Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving with family & friends.
I'm back...between cleaning, cooking, shopping til I dropped on Friday & Saturday I'm extremely tired & need to relax for a day before I tackle the windows & change curtains. I need to get that done this week so I can have my daughter Jessica & Steve come over next Sunday for breakfast & decorate the house for Christmas. Jessica loves getting together to do this, it's another tradition at our house, Marc doesn't come (it's not his thing...it's a Jessica thing) & I like to have the house in tip top shape & spotless. I need to free up my time to get some hand made gifts done for the holidays, so I need to get the decorating out of the way.
Did you all get to go shopping Friday? Jessica & I have gotten up early to go shopping on Black Friday for the last 5 years & this year we invited my son's girlfriend Sarah (I like this girl a lot & hope this works out for them both) to come this year & join us & we girls had a blast!!! It was so much fun & Sarah enjoyed it as well, so glad she came along! My Christmas shopping is done except for 1 more gift. After the decorations are up I plan to start wrapping gifts & writing out my Christmas cards.
Here is a Hanna card that I made about a week ago & didn't have a chance to post til now. I really didn't have the right acrylic blocks for this big stamp but I had to ink it the minute I got it in the mail & managed it using my SU ink pad (the only thing I could think of to use) & it worked after awhile (I think I went through 2 sheets of WW trying to ink this baby). I just ordered some blocks that were on sale, so I should be all set & will stamp some more of these beauties when the blocks arrive. I luv this set & just ordered the shopping Hanna set. I just got the tack it over & over to put on my Bella stamp that I just got & can't wait to ink that beauty soon (my first Bella stamp), I'm soooo excited!!! Seriously, I think I'm addicted to Bella (as is everyone) & will be getting more in the future...even if it's 1 at a time! Well I think I've rambled on enough today...hope I didn't bore you, hehehe!!! Talk to you soon & thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!!!
Hugs...Rita

Card details:
CS: WW & Real Red
DP: unknown
Stamps: Hanna "Tis the Season" stamps
Ink: Staz-on Jet Black & Le Plume markers
Icicle & Golden Rod Stickles
Brads: M&M snowflakes, & $ bin at Target
Ribbon: unknown
I paper pieced her top & skirt with scraps after I stamped & cut them out

I'M BACK!!!
Hi everyone!
Hope your all having a great weekend. Hubby & I got back home around 12:30 AM, we did not win anything but had a great time in Atlantic City & that's what really counts, right? We saw a comedy show & laughed so much I thought I'd come apart at the seams, hehehehe!!! We were informed by a few people that we missed some excitement the day before we got there, (we were going to add another day to our trip but decided 3 nights was enough so we cancelled Tuesday night at the last minute, I'm soooo happy we did) There's a bus that takes you to different casino's from the hotel & someone went on board & had a bomb under their jacket & took hostages on that bus...so the FBI was involved & for some reason had to evacuate the hotel guests & they did not get back to their rooms till 5 AM, I really don't know the whole story but I'm really glad that we were not there. I asked our waitress & she said yes it was true & she was not there at the time either, I never saw it on the news & we got there at 1 PM & everything was back to normal, never guessed anything had happened. We had asked the waitress if they got the people out that were gambling in the casino (closed it down) or let them keep playing but she didn't know, we were just wondering...guess we'll never know.
Here is my "Pay it Forward" that I sent to Jana, Malieta & Maria. It's safe to post now 'cause I think they all received it. This is what I was working on last week & could not post the picture. I cased this folder from Corie & thought it would be a great folder to put stamped images for an RAK. Go visit her blog she is one terrific artist, your going to luv her work!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend & thanks for stopping by!
Hugs...Rita
Note Card/Image Folder
I used the 1/8" hole from the crop a dile to punch holes for the ribbon, & I sponged River Rock around the edges of the stamped images. I really liked the way this came out, & had to have one for myself to put images that I have received from RAK's from some of my blog buddies. Now I have a place to store those images...how cool is that?

Card Details:
CS: Very Vanilla & Not Quite Navy
Ink: River Rock, Not Quite Navy & Bravo Burgundy
Stamps: Baroque Motifs
Ribbon: Michael's
